Always liked Gladwin when he was at Swindon and was gutted when he went to QPR. Very exciting player when he's got the ball.

I too liked Gladwin last season - in my opinion far better Swindon player than Luongo, who seemed to be rated higher (and went to Glasgow Rangers). However, he (Gladwin) may have have been 'de-skilled' by QPR, because he was loaned out to Swindon recently and didn't do much - even the Swindon fans weren't terribly unhappy when he went back to QPR. We'll see.
Gladwin i really like.good signing, dack deal obviously off with him coming. The lad pearce i do not have any idea about, over to you peeps.
so we have replaced 3 of the loanees so what about building the squad? O'donnel as extra cover for Fielding and O leary ( robinson) Gladwin for Bennett Pearce for Moore not necessarily position wise, but as replacements for wages wise Baker fulfilling his to end of season... danger is we spend on loanee's who are "wage" rich using possible monies to buy, which we don't! so end of season back to square one!
Lucky for Gladwin that he's cup tied, otherwise it might be another Smith playing till beginning April then going back.
Not that I think it needs explaining but what shiny was saying was lets worry about building in the summer and for now, just concentrate on doing what we need to, to stay in this division...
My thoughts exactly and we need to focus on what's important, and right now that is staying in the Championship.
I can see that Prem, but that then means we have a bare bones squad to start next season, after the loanee's have returned, and to boot it is doubtful we will have Wilbs, and will then have to starty from scratch.... AGAIN ... better to sign up a couple now, if they present themselves, and start team building on a more solid footing . If I went to work with a company that had "just enough" and a load of temps I wouldn't feel very secure. There has been rumours of an attacking midfielder AND a striker being bought and paid for .... ideally DACK and LAFFERTY would set us up fine ..or players their equal. The lets just do enough to survive has been our DOWNFALL for most of our modern day history .... time TO GET OUT OF THE RUT ..... edit Inver your post came up whilst typing .. its not the right focal point, but it is, but needs positive actions
Its better to get high waged loanees in then take a gamble on permanent signings in January. Better to do the opposite in the summer
Very true and its even more of a gamble signing permanent players when you consider we don't have a manager. We could end up signing someone on a 3 year contract and then find that he doesn't fit in with the new managers plans. We need to get the new manager appointed asap.
