Anybody catch the 1st episode last week? Apart from the dodgy accents (Sam Neil as a Belfast copper is hilariously bad), it looks pretty good...
Peaky Blinders is ****in ****e ...pure ****in ****e! I didn't actually watch it on account of its stupid name.
That's odd, I didn't watch it because I have never heard of it, so didn't know it was on and if I did know it was on, I didn't know what channel it was on. Also, what a stupid ****ing name.
Scorcese's worst ever movie, only partially rescued by Daniel Day Lewis' virtuoso performance? That "Gangs Of New York"?
I thought it was alright too. As for the OP, I watched half the first episode last night and fell asleep. That is no reflection on the program's quality, I was just tired. It seemed ok to me, quite a big name cast for a BBC2 show too.
Watched it last night. Quite absorbing, but actors who can't do accents are a pet hate of mine, along with "one-footed" football players, and decorators who can't hang wallpaper. The Brummie accent is pretty ****ing distinctive, it shouldn't be that hard to do. Or just hire Noddy Holder as a voice coach. And the cockney bookie bloke had the worst London accent since Dick Van Dyke.
Assumed it was about folk who felt a bit under the weather who went around poking others folks eyes out.Maybe took the title too literally.
I think two may be supposed to be scousers but they do go back to brum sometimes, i admit that the accents did seem pretty ****ed Archers me ol china
Maybe they were from Stoke.Like when they do Norfolk,it's always 'ooo 'ar like they have just come ashore at Penzance
