My concerns about his big gob grow http://talksport.com/football/di-canio-o’shea-cost-sunderland-points-again-13083158095 Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio tore into his players following the Black Catsâ 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace. The Italian was fuming with his side for conceding a scrappy Danny Gabbidon goal and a penalty that allowed Dwight Gayle to break his Palace duck. Centre-back John OâShea was shown a straight red card for bringing Gayle down with 10 minutes remaining, leading to the former Man United stopper apologising to his team-mates afterwards. But Di Canio would rather the Irishman not make mistakes in the first place. âHe is one of our best and experienced players, so I would rather he not come into the dressing room and say sorry because two games in a row is already too much," he raged. "Last week [when he fouled Daniel Osvaldo to allow Southampton to score a late free-kick] cost two points and this week, it was a minimum of one point." Di Canio was pleased to have striker Steven Fletcher back from injury as the Scotland hitman scored his team's leveller, but was far from happy at the way the Black Cats conceded. âThe first two goals are very pathetic. He is saying what I was thinking anyway. IF grown men can't take a bit of criticism and come back fighting to prove him wrong the pampered twats can **** right off.
My humble opinion? PDC must be bolder. He may not have selected the signings but I bet he said what merits he wanted. The guys brought in are the guys brought in to do a job. Play the lot of them, PDC. Drop Larson/ Vaughan/ etc, etc. Live or die by your desires. x
When I played footie (and not to any great standard) You knew who was crap. You knew what was required. These guys are on thousands a week. I don't accept them saying "sorry I did wrong" x
He's not slagging off the team as a whole. All individual critism is merited if the players themselves can't see that then they're worse than Liverpool/Newcastle fans for delusion!
the first thing i would say would say to my team mates on the pitch is 'sorry' during or after if needs be mate
your right in that sense bobbins but you must appologise for your mistakes, where would we be without manners
As I've mentioned before, this type of open criticism should remain behind closed doors. If he continues like this he may lose the dressing room.
