Recently said that he wants to leave spurs in the summer, doesn't like being on bench...
Anyone reckon he could do a job at Newcastle on a short term loan deal at least? IMO he'd be a great addition, but not sure about his wage demands :undecided:

We can only get emergency loans. Surely we qualify for that now?

Now that Best's out, maybe it is an emergency, we could claim that Ranger isnt a senior striker and therefore we only have one fit.

Thought you could loan at any point in the season? Didn't we get Harewood out the Transfer Window period last season?
But yeah, surely with only 3 strikers fit, 2 if Best is crocked, then we should qualify for it. Who decides if we do?

There's a loan window for clubs in the Football League, Premier League clubs can't do deals outside the transfer window though.

Pav would be a good option in the summer, I think he's a class striker. A Carroll-Pavlyuchenko would've been brilliant, not sure who we'd play him with if we signed him now though.

We've been linked with an £8m move for Gervinho. Would be a great buy, I feel we need a target man. I wouldn't want to see Pavlyuchenko or Gervinho having to feed off Ameobi. We'll have to see how Ranger gets on between now and end of the season, his hold up play is top draw (brilliant chest down for Nolan at the death yesterday) but he needs to start scoring. I'd like to see him starting against Blackburn and Brum.

    Ah right... woops
Still would be happy with that Ewerthon guy for the time being if we get declined emergency loans.

I'd love to see Gervinho here, not just as a player but he's bound to know/form a bond with Tiote and could help our chances in holding onto him!

Keepers are more specialist though, you can play midfielders up front or young players but only keepers can play in goal.

Would be a class signing, always rated him. Great technical ability, fantastic finisher, when he's on a run he's on a RUN(goalscoring form) & he's a ''classy'' type of striker.
Although he does lack pace, isn't a good hold-up sort of striker(might work well with Ranger though), no real aerial threat and is quite inconsistent.

I say go for it, as long as he doesn't demand ridiculous wages or something, I say YES! He's 29, so he has a few more good years left in him & he's proven EPL quality.
