The Russia international has slipped down Harry Redknapp's pecking order at White Hart Lane following the loan arrival of Emmanuel Adebayor. Adebayor gets the nod for Premier League outings, leaving Pavlyuchenko to fill in for Redknapp in European and Carling Cup games. Pavlyuchenko started Spurs' midweek win over Rubin Kazan but knows he is likely to be dropped for Sunday's trip to Blackburn. The 29-year-old loves Tottenham and says the club is like a second family, but feels he is now at the stage of his career where he needs to be playing. Future "I love Tottenham. The team is like my second family but if nothing changes I will agree to any loan deal," Pavlyuchenko told The People. "In fact, to any deal which gives me the chance to play permanently. "I only make it into the starting line-up in the Carling Cup and Europa League matches. "That's the reality. So my goal on Thursday is unlikely to influence my future at Spurs." I would love for us to sign him in Jan
If Bendtner is available and would come, for £12m or 14m I'd rather have him to be honest. In the 5 games he has played since coming here, he has 3 assists and 2 goals. At 23 years old, he would be a better option imo and has settled very quickly it would seem.
Agree with this we do need atleast 1 possibly 2 quality strikers adding to the squad in the summer if not January but if we do sign Bendtner then I would rather us go for an out and out goalscorer than someone similar in the form of Pav.
Bendtner in January for me, get the deal done, the lad is a class act. Both? Not for me they are similar players, I thought Whickham did ok yesterday without being a threat, he´ll be fine long term
If the money is there, both obviously. BUT, we now need a center-half and still to sort out the rest. Not much quality will be available in Jan. We would be foolish to ignore it and hope to get it cheaper in the close season. x
If and it is a big if he is willing to take a pay cut and, Spurs don't ask ridiculous money and, we are sitting comfortable inside the top ten then he may just think about it. To be honest I can't see any of that happening no matter what the player says or does.
i'd have pav here in a heartbeat, get him signed with bendtner, while we're on the subject of strikers did anyone see bent's miss yesterday?
