Looks like Paul Taylor will definately require surgery for his foot injury and that he will be out of action for the rest of the season! Typical bad luck for us and I feel really sorry for the lad. I just hope that we can strengthen in the striking department if this is the case.

It feels like we've wasted months waiting for this and now we will have to wait even longer. If he had just had the surgery way back when he would be well on the mend. Of course they tried to avoid that scenario if possible but it has now cost the player a whole season on the sidelines.

    Get well soon Paul

How does a foot injury write off 3/4's of a season?

I know he's only little but wtf?

I would guess that they are saying that he'll be out for the season to not put any pressure on the lad returning. These types of injury usually take 3-4 months, therefore i reckon with a small slice of luck he could actually be back for the last 2-3 months of the season. Club doctors always overplay injuries.

That's a shame because he seemed very promising. I hope stretchyboy is right and they are giving a worst-case scenario

As McCarthy says, we'll be OK but it's damaging for his career. Players are often not the same after a lengthy absence, another Civelli perhaps.

I hope that won't be the case Hampy and that he comes back in good form.

On an unrelated note, I've just found a receipt for one lemon.
