After much talk and anticipation from us united fans to purchase a central midfielder, could SAFs plan for our midfield be to bring through players from the youth sytstem. Players like Paul Pogba and ravel morrison may be in the pipe line to break into the first team. Thoughts?
Not sure if there ready for the first team, especially if cleverly's only just got in it. Theyll probably go out on loan and play some CC games before they play continuously
Good point, i just feel that people are becoming reliant on fergie buying big names rather than thinking about the future squad, dont get me wrong i like to see us being busy in the transfer market however i woul like to see how good our youth actualy is, especialy after winning the FA youth
Yeah, I completely agree. That's why I get irritated when people say that we shouldn't get sneijder as he's not 'long term' when we could have the long term replacement for scholes in our youth side.
I don't think we'll load Morrison out, if he plays for any other club it will be because we've sold him or cancelled his contract. He's a player we are handling very delicately at the moment and I don't think he'll be allowed out of our sights and out of reach of our coaches. Pogba might go on loan soon. I'm expecting those two and maybe one or two others from those ranks to be featuring more in our Carling Cup team next season and then go on loan or into the first team a season or two after.
