Nigel Pearson confirmed live on the radio Konchesky is leaving and he was left out of the squad because if was in the best interests of the player and the squad if he wasnt involved.
Always gave his all and apart from the incident at Millwall he has acted very professional throughout his time here. I wish him all the best but I agree its in the best interest of the club financially and the team ability wise if he moved on Jeff Schlupp and Zoumana Bakoyogo will be able to cover Konch's exit
Does sound like if he can agree terms with QPR he'll be gone, like others say, im not too bothered. Thank you Nigel for telling us the truth for once rather than avoiding the question all together
Nicky Shorey is apparently currently training with Millwall, but they can't offer him a contract until they offload. Surely would be a good signing if we offload Konchesky, and can't be demanding high wages if Millwall are interested.
Nicky Shorey wouldnt suit the 532 system either. He lacks the pace, Schlupp or Bakoyogo are much more suited
Who is going to break it to them? http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/225208-Solid-Left-Back?p=5202655#post5202655
Shame if he goes, but probably for the best, I hope he will be one of those players clapped rather than booed when he returns
Looks like a deal to Brighton has fallen down due to his wages! http://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/konchesky-move-falls-through-1619662.html
This is what I was saying a few days ago. His wages may end up ensuring he stays at Leicester. Let's hope it's true that QPR and their £42m in parachute payments are interested.
QPR are interested in Konch http://www.fulhamchronicle.co.uk/lo...l-for-leicester-city-defender-82029-33746840/
Still newspaper gossip until a bid comes in. Konch could have been left out because of interest from Brighton, as posted by FF.
@JasonBourne1986: Nigel Pearson has told BBC Radio Leicester that Paul Konchesky is available for selection for this weekend's clash with Birmingham. #LCFC
I'm a big fan of Shorey's, he's a Premier League quality player and is far too good to end up at Millwall.
He is a very good defender but would lack the pace for a 532 formation. Schlupp and Bakoyogo will offer alot more to us with their pace
