gives his view on what people from hull will be doing tomorrow is he correct?. .
Like most people from Hull? He's from Sheffield. He's written some decent songs and he can sing, but he's a Blade and a bit of a twat. I have no interest in the royal wedding, they didn't invite me, so it's not a wedding I have any interest in. The Queen now gives all her revenue to the state, they civil list now costs just 2/3's of the money that the royal family contribute(other than the security costs which are not made public), so I no longer care. They bring in tourists, they cost us nothing and are world revered, I have no interest in their weddings, but I'm more than happy to let them carry on carrying on.
here here scooterman although Ive been hit with a double edge sword tomorrow, although the missus isnt interested in the wedding either Im going to get dragged round IKEA, aaargh !!!
my manager at work is away, and i never bothered checking with head office that we are definately closed, in case i didnt like the answer..just gona keep my phone off
Agree- about Heaton - a phoney Blunt that should be looking forward to life in Lg 1 rather than spouting off about what Hull folk might or might not think about the Royal wedding. Hull's no different to any other city tomorrow in terms of support for the Royal wedding. My missus is Royal barrmy - she does hail from Kent though !!
What the **** is Heaton on about ? He's from Sheffield and hasn't lived in Hull for at least ten years.Last I heard he was living in Manchester but it looks like he's darn in the smoke now. I care not about the Royal Wedding and care even less what Paul Heaton has to say on the matter. A kid I used to work with once had a barny with him at a wedding reception and called him " a fat faced superstar" to his face.
at an early Beautiful South performance in Manchester, Heaton baited the crowd by shouting "**** off, you Manc twats", after which some members of the audience began throwing chairs towards the stage.[6] i like him even more after reading that on his wiki page
As much as I like Paul Heaton, why does he see the need to bring Hull into it? He's talking twaddle in my opinion.
If you were a German TV channel, looking to interview someone about the royal wedding, why the hell would you pick Paul Heaton?
its weird him saying from hull, but to be honest its a nice change for somebody to not be ashamed of a hull link... him and his music will always be associated with us, despite him not from being here, and he put us on the musical map slightly, a lot more then the likes of roland gift anyway ...so not sure why so may dislike him, tho it does seem everytime theres a thread about somebody not at hull city, people think there a tosser or a ****er for one reaon or another.
Heaton was born in Chesire, lived in Sheffield and then Surrey. Like so many supposedly working class heroes had a very middle class bringing up. Surprirsed so many on here who are soft types who think fans standing up and singing anything about the away team are hooligans who will end up having the club deducted points (name any teams who have had points deducted for fans actions a lot worse than standing up or singing derogatory songs) admire Heaton who got up to a lot of serious violence with the Sheff United mob.
He seemed alright in that video, think he might be onto something about Northerners and the Royal Family; none of the pubs in my area are promising "street parties" and laying out Union Jack bunting like what I saw in the South when I was down there last week. Also his German skills are flawless: "ein kleine drink" , though he does have an irritating 'Sheffield face' like Sean Bean, if you catch my drift.
