... is he always 'innocent' even before his trial in the eyes of some.

The mitigating circumstances always seem to be that he once bought someone a drink, mixed with idiots and had an iffy childhood.

I'd say that applies to most of the working class of the NE but we don't all abuse women, take Class A drugs and drive around drunk.

Does the fact he was a good football player excuse him for everything ...

... or is he just a knob with too much time & money who liked getting drunk and taking drugs.

I've seen hundreds of posts saying he severely mentally ill but very little 'evidence' other than his autobiography.

I don't think he has much of a defence this time.

He has had far to many chances and support most 'normal' people wouldn't get

 

he should just buy himself a way off detatched house , and stay there and keep out of trouble. We all like a drink, but drink at home like i do. My cousin was like him the booze got hold and now he is gone.

Obviously a troubled soul, any sympathy he once garnered with public will be gone (apart from his die-hard fans) if/when he's found guilty. I recall in the past that you thought he was closeted with his sexual identity, you gave some good arguments as to why (his choice of friends etc) -I believe he requires all- round counselling into why he's living such a self destructive lifestyle - not just the quick fix clinics to his drink/drugs habits.

It's just strange that he seems to prefer the company of big rough men unless he's plastered and abusing women.

Its a shame because hes an absolute lovely bloke without beer involved, well even with beer involved circa 20 years ago he was class. Theres the dark side with his drinking obviously lashing the **** out of his wife that cant be forgiven, and then theres the "lads" side which im speaking about.

All in all when its judgement day he'll shake his head and cry.
