Off Topic Paul Di'Anno R.I.P.

Paul Di'Anno has passed away aged 66.
Probably not a name familiar to many, he was the vocalist on Iron Maiden's first two albums, 1980 and 1981.
Seen them twice with Di'Anno, loved those first two albums and still play them regularly.
Genuinely gutted about this one, a big, big, part of my youth.

R.I.P. Paul, Running Free now.

 

Really sad day. The first two Maiden albums remain classics. His vocals and his frontman style were brilliant.

RiP Paul.

 

Canny band in the sky now

 

Got into Iron Maiden in 89/90 so Seventh Son was my intro album. Gradually found the earlier records and the first one with Di’Anno is a favourite. Raw, technically very good and some great songwriting. Massive band and Paul was an integral founding father. RIP mister.

 

Ah nooo. Remember as a kid my older sister going to see him with Iron Maiden

 

Iron Maiden were one of my favourite bands as a teenager. Never saw them when Di’Anno was the singer though. Running Free will always remain as an all time favourite. RIP Paul.

 

He was still getting out there and gigging in his wheelchair until recently, RIP Paul.
