He had picked the 1968 German GP, shame there is no footage to go with it.

To be honest, nothing new or exciting we haven't seen many times before and some of it very recnetly

What I found noticable about the 2010 Canadian GP highlights is how many times Legard talked over Brundle.

No wonder they didn't get on! Can almost hear Brundle's frustration following the replays of the move where Button overtook Alonso.

I know I shouldn't laugh, but Massa's Dad's face was a picture when it slowly dawned on them that Hamilton had come 5th.

The more I watch that race, the less happy I feel for Hamilton and the more sorry I feel for Massa. Not that I wish that Hamilton hadn't won, it's just that the circumstances in which it happened were devastating for Massa, his family and his team.

It did, in affect, also help pave the way for his submission to Alonso and create his current predicament.

He was submissive to Raikkonen in '09 before Alonso. He's not quite as good as in '08 anymore. The accident can't have helped either, but I think you're right in that this will have dented him psychologically, and I doubt he's recovered properly. It must be worse, having seen his team mate win at Interlagos the season before, having been in a worse championship position. I guess Felipe isn't destined to join the list of Ferrari title winners, which is surely the one most want to be on? I do sort of feel sorry for him, but it is time for him to move on I think. For him to develop as a driver, he needs to be a team leader somewhere, and he'll never get that at Ferrari

Do you mean '07 instead? In '09 Massa had more than double the points of Kimi (22 - 10) by the time they got the Hungary when he had his accident.

Yes, sorry, totally wasn't paying attention there. Yes he was ahead of Raikkonen at some points in '07, but he didn't perform as well, and even the first half of '08, raikkonen was on fire, but he just seemed to lose interest after Monaco, until France. If he hadn't had that failure, and let Massa past, I think Raikkonen would've kicked on from there are really shown that his '07 title wasn't a complete fluke

Yes, you could argue that if Kimi had had a bit more luck in France he would've pushed on. However, you could also argue that if Massa hadn't had a engine failure right at the end of Hungary that he would have won the WDC with a race to spare.

Ifs, buts and maybes really...

I think Massa needs to move to Renault next year (assuming Kubica doesn't return and Heidfeld isn't kept on).

That'd do him alot of good I think. Relatively good car, where he could lead a team. Might help Petrov as well, who I like, I think he's quite good too. Massa's future is not at Ferrari, and he must already know that, so I wouldn't be surprised if his agent/manager hasn't already been putting out feelers to other teams to see what's around. Ferrari happily buy people out of contracts, look at the massive payment they had to give to Raikkonen, they still did it. I actually miss Iceman, I think he was good, he just had off days too often. Him and Alonso, that'd be a nice Ferrari team. Can't see Alonso moaning about Raikkonen, as he seemed rather uninterested in team related stuff, so Alonso could do all that. BUT that will never happen, we're paving the way for Vettel after 2014 as it is

Vettel won't go to Ferrari until he's at least won a few titles at Red Bull. Even then he may not go, I suppose it would depend on whether he wants a "challenge" or not. Stick at Red Bull with Mr Newey and win copious titles or move to another team to prove you can do it elsewhere without his help?

Vettel has said multiple times he'd like to drive for Ferrari, and he will win several titles between now and then, for sure.

On the Massa front, he might go to Sauber I guess, we still give them engines. Perez maybe, he's part of our driver academy, so surely he's being groomed as a Ferrari man. I wouldn't go to Williams if I was Massa, they're not the team they once were. Mercedes is not really an option, both drivers have contracts past his season. Force India, are too far back I think, for someone like him

Lewis was unlucky in 07 (gearbox glitch in Brazil) and Massa was unlucky in 08 (Engine failure in Hungary), Vettel was unlucky in 09 (Brazil qualifying) and Alonso was unlucky in 10 (Abu Dahbi). It always evens itself out though...Eventually.

What I'm really enjoying about this season is that reliability is very strong so its been a fair battle.

You're right on the luck front. And I doubt he'll have the option, Ferrari are going to let him go sooner rather than later

Possibly, but I think the damage has been done psychologically and it would take a massive event for Ferrari to get behind him instead of Alonso now. Massa either a) has to step it up and simply drive better or b) move somewhere else and put it all behind him. He doesn't want to "do a Rubens" and spend the best years of his life as a number 2.

As I said before, Renault, Williams and Sauber seem the best options. I don't think he'd settle for driving at Lotus, HRT or Virgin. If he can't get a mid grid spot he'll move onto another series.

Lotus will be competing in the midfield soon. I'm really happy to see the famous name back, and to see them really pressing on. Virgin are slipping into the clutches of Hispania, and that's just dire really. Those 2 are almost as bad as last year, and Lotus are really impressing me with how they've caught up. And on the Massa Barichello comparison, Barrichello had it even worse than Massa did, but it won't be long before Alonso gets into the same position as Schumacher was. Massa has to get out fast

Yes if and buts, but Raikkonen from France onwards did really have poor luck compared to Massa, France we all know, Canada no fault of his gets a possible win or podium, then Silverstone the team kept him and Massa on worn intermediates and lost 4-8s a lap to Hamilton whom he was reeling in at the first round of stops, Valencia engine failure, Spa crashed out due to a slow puncture which was the cause of Hamilton and Massa reeling him in at the closing stages from the race.

It's a shame how people say he wasn't motivated, it was this phase where he lost out to Massa and had to back him...these string of 4 bad races, yet somehow he was classified as "uninterested" and "demotivated", great driver...

But as a Massa fan though, I get saddened watching Brazil 08...everytime I watch it I cheer when Vettel passes, but when Hamilton crosses the line in 5th, reality hits me.

It's a shame that he came back in a poor position in 2010, hadn't raced, had a new team-mate who is backed by Santander it was always going to be uphill, he had shown promise up to Hockenheim and a bit onwards, but after having to give over for race victory, psychologically just killed the guy...he has shown promise in 2011, has had some really bad luck, but Spain and Australia he had poor races, the rest has been down to sheer bad luck due to Ferrari messing up his pitstops (not intentionally) but every race he gets screwed and loses lots of positions.
