I looked up Patrick's profile at Leicester...see link below... Yes he's had injuries, and it goes without saying that he'll be no good to us if he can't now stay clear of them. People will say he was good in League 1, but what about at Championship level? Well, he had 3 years experience of Championship with Leicester when he was a near ever-present player, and their relegation in 2008 seems linked to Patricks injury that year. But the most interesting point in the profile is that he's got experience of playing in that defensive midfield position. Wonder if that is where grayson might play him (replacing Bradley Johnson) instead putting him in back 4? Personally, I think its the 1st bit of good news this season. http://www.lcfc.com/page/ProfilesDetail/0,,10274~24489,00.html
I don't think he's a permanent DM though. I'm happy enough to have him back at CB, could be like a new signing!
Mixed feelings. Great to see him back playing again. But realistically we won't know how much the injury has affected his game, until we see him on the pitch.
Or we have a 20 year old Tom Lees back. Of course I forgot that we secretly only actually have 2 CBs and not 5 like I thought before. And at the back you have those brilliant players... erm... I'll get back to you.
Conceeded least goals in League 1 season before last, and only QPR and Swansea had a better defensive record last season - also only team outside the Prem that have aquired over 20 clean sheets for 3 seasons on the trot
he will make a huge difference and i think played with the right partner a solid two... needs to be younger and quick though so rules out Obrien and Bruce...... I would also give him the armband!
