Evra sent off before the Marseille game for kicking one of his own fans in the face a la' Cantona. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41853841
I wonder what set him off. He has form for reacting when provoked by racist comments (Suarez, the Chelsea groundsman) so maybe it was that again. I appreciate that some people think players should just accept racist abuse because they’re paid well and it’s “harmless”. Although it could just have been some fan teling him he’s **** and, if that was the case, he should have kept on jogging.
At this point in his career why not slap someone who's being a ****? He must be close to calling it a day anyway.
I don't see what the big deal is anyway The fan seemed to take it on the chin, he didn't let it get to his head.
I reckon it's nailed on to be racist abuse. Not that it justifies his actions, but it makes it quite funny that some gobshite French version of Kustard got a size 9 studded boot in his face.
