BRISTOL CITY: AFC Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe in no hurry to sell striker Yann Kermorgant By a_Stockhausen IT seems Bristol City will have to be patient in their pursuit of Bournemouth striker Yann Kermorgant. Having failed to land the former Charlton and Rennes forward in the previous transfer window, the Robins will make a second attempt in January. But Cherries boss Eddie Howe is in no hurry to let players leave and will not sanction any out-goings until he has strengthened his squad. Howe bolstered his resources when Juan Iturbe became the club's first January signing, the Roma winger drafted in on an initial loan basis until the end of the season. Sunderland's Jermain Defoe, Norwich's Lewis Grabban, Fulham's Ross McCormack and Stephan El Shaarawy from AC Milan have all been linked with a possible move to the south coast club, but Howe has yet to strengthen his attack. Howe told the Bournemouth Echo: "With the numbers we have fit, we are certainly not in a position where we can let players go so, absolutely, we would not be allowing anyone to leave until we were able to bring in players. "But I have always maintained that we like our squad and we like every individual within it and I am in no hurry to see anyone leave. "A lot of that will be dictated by the players themselves rather than us. If a player is absolutely desperate to move away, for various reasons, then we would look at their request. But any move out would only happen if we were able to bring in players." http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/BRISTO...e-hurry-sell/story-28479590-detail/story.html It seems that Kermorgant is the main target for Cotts & co, he won't be coming for a while, so let us all show some patience and understanding. Been there, seen it and bought the t-shirt, pull your bleeding fingers out..
No don't agree, he's 34 and if he's not available till end of the month then move on and get other targets. Not saying rush out and get players this week but we do need to strengthen the squad and can't wait till Eddie Howe is happy. If we want him put a bid in with a closing date and refuse to budge, it's about time we showed some get up and go otherwise other clubs like Bournemouth tell us when we choose to move for players.
The cherries have done fantastically well, fair play to them, just shows what can be done, proper manager and well run ownership, not having spent anything likes the funds this club has wasted over the years.
we are left with the dregs i'm afraid that is where we sit in the picking order at present,i think we have got a very poor rep in a short time.
