Really? Is this the kind of headlines a manager should be putting out about his team? Wouldn't it be best to just quietly go about the task of showing the door to those who are not in your future plans? I don't think airing these kind of views in public does team moral much good especially when you were not exactly whiter than white yourself as a player. I wonder if Frazier Campbell would have been labelled the same had he remained? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/
Funnily enough, I saw part of a programme on the weekend showing the game where he had a sulk and asked to be subbed after a few fouls that weren't penalised. Petulant. To be fair, he has a point. MM does a lot of research into player's behaviour before signing them.
Like all managers joining a new club he want's to bring in his own type of players. Where he's got it wrong for me is, he's talking about players indiscipline and yet hasn't shown restraint and discipline to berate those offenders behind closed doors. I honestly think he's a self publisist who courts the media for his own ends.
It's all about him isn't it. Genuine managers deal with indiscipline and problems behind closed doors. I'm just glad the idiot is at Sunderland and not with us. Yet another example of a very good player and a crap manager.
Yes and sell them to Sunderland I wouldn't be surprised if one of them is Graham. I'm not endorsing the way Di Canio is going about with things, but it looks like his tenure is going to be a short one IMO
Di Canio has gone up miles in my estimations. Thought the interview was brilliant. Did you see the picture of the Sunderland player.? Di Canio was correct - pathetic. Well done Paulo!
I'm with Hilts on this (ouch). DiCanio wears his heart on his sleeve and has pointed out in his statement that he wasn't perfect. Some of his players (athletes) were out on the town when they should be preparing for a match. FoFS, they only work about 9 months of the year are on stupid money, so yes publicly bollock them. They are taking the piss out of every fan that walks through turnstiles at the weekend. Well done Paulo.
xsnaggle! It may be basic to you fella but it's worth raving and caring about to us. Bastards changed the page. Chatting about De Canio. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/sunderland
At that stage DJ was a "dead man walking" and anything he said would have no impact. DiCanio has to stamp his authority early on. In short a poor comparison Bony.
