and no I'm not talking about Chelsea! It's Man City's 'efforts' in this seasons Champions League. Quite frankly, it's been shameful. If I were a City fans I'd be embarrassed tbh. To only get 3 points in your group and not get a single win! I know they had a tough group but it seemed that after that loss in Madrid, they gave up and it wasn't good enough. Loads of people say that they 'lack Champions League experience'. That is a load of rollocks. They ave Kompany, Aguero, Tevez, Balotelli, Silva, Nasri, Clichy, Maicon and Dzeko who have all had experience in the competition with another club thus there are no excuses. Next season they will be in a low pot and it serves them right and they will keep on getting tough draws if they don't sort it out.
Wierd! Is the PL finally about to be shown as going backwards and surrendering its place as the worlds No1 League!
ok tough group !!! they couldn't bloody finish above Ajax .. they would had been out even if seeded at 1st pot ... no excuses
To be fair, I don't think any english team would have got out that group and I think most would have struggled in ours too. English teams have gone backwards and we could be below the top spanish, german and italian sides now arguably.
That's the only criticism I'd give them, not finishing above Ajax. But you're still underrating Ajax.
Not really, the P.L is weak now. Arsenal only got 2nd in a weak looking group, City finished bottom, we are all but out, United and City went out in the groups last year, United got battered by a mid table spanish side in the Europa, Arsenal hammered in Milan etc. Take away our win in Munich and English teams have been shocking the last 2 seasons.
