So do the three of them think we are clueless? First it was the comments at after match interviews saying they are surprised no one has bid for Becchio and we will do well to hold on to him. Then a week later it was Becchio is not focused his head has been turned, followed by a comment that when we played well without Becchio in the team it was because we had to pass it more. Now due to FPR Leeds decides not to offer the contract he wants. How insulting is that to Leeds fans, patronising our intelligence or what. Reduce the dead wood and free up some wages, if we can't give Becchio a wage he wants how on earth are we going to replace him? GFH are Bates V2.0 Doubt any business will be done today, it never is over a weekend so Monday 28th - 29th we accept an offer and sell Becchio we lose out on the replacement targets because they wanted too much or changed their mind last minute about joining so we wait for the loan window to open again promising fans of good things ahead come the new season and of course the vicious wheel starts all over again.
THere are some who must still be idiots though. Widely documented Lorimer was involved in trying to get Becchio to sign for Hull last January, but he refused. FFPR is a smoke screen, because we were recently bragging that we are one of the lowest ratio clubs in the league, which means we haven't paid high wages for years - as we know. Massive club, with potential massive support, and all paying the highest prices in the league, means we will be nowhere near any FFPR infringement, unlike Leicester and a few more. Apparently there is an internet appeal being launched for Shaun Harvey, not dissimilar to the "pen-for-ken" appeal. Warnock keeps banging on about "Shaun is working his socks off to get players in" so the new appeal is "socks-for-shaun" I guess unwashed ones would be best because the way this club is being run STINKS!
Sell Becchio, and we have Somma and McCormack and Diouf and Poleon and Dawson in the wings. Don't think they will rush to get a new player in after selling Becchio. They will probably get a new Brown/Austin/Varney/Green/Norris/Pugh clone.
