err, we played the game Wenger set up and as soon as Pat made chanes we were under more pressure which resulted in us conceding a goal.

i know they were probably decided by Arsene but his subs where poor.

I think if we had kept the same 11 for the whole 90mins we would have won.

Walcott played pretty poor but he was exactly what we needed- he gave us an 'out' when we were defending.

    Also Chamakh for RVP?
    Santos as a LWF?

No. Poor substitutions cost us IMO.

Santos to give more strength defensively.

    Frimpong to give the same.

Chamakh to give RvP a rest - he's injury prone.

Walcott had a poor game. I personally would have taken Gervinho & Benayoun & RvP off and left Theo up front on the last man to give them something to worry about.

I'd have left all 11 on the field.

People here are making me laugh blaming Pat Rice for us drawing. Are we that forgetful of the 8-2 hammering from manure? Unless im dreaming but wasn't that Wenger in charge?

The fact that we had pants confidence, PR did a decent job and his subs were spot on. The problem was yet again, the players not closing down at the last minute. Granted it was a terrific goal, but a man should have been just outside the box, blocking the shot!!! The same thing happened against manure and who was in charge!!!! Yes Wenger!

Spot on and i forgot about Walcott. I think we really don't utilise him properly. Like yesterdays game when we were closing out for a win. We should have kept Walcott up front, and moved everyone back, defensively. We can just pass the ball out to him and let him break at speed. This would scare the pants off the opposition...

  15. Nothing against Pat Rice. He was captain during my Gunner discovery years and a very good one at that as I recall. Taking on the manager's job is something else though and I'm not even sure he would want it, would he?

He said in his interviews last night that he didn't enjoy it because he has never had aspirations to be a manager.

Rice is not the right man, the man is due to retried and he even said he is good at assisting AW. He tried his best, but his substitutions was wrong. AW would have attack to killed off the game instead of defend. As for him, if he felt Theo was a bit flat, he would have introduce Ju Park in attack, and Santos for Gibbs.

Anyway 1-1 was not bad result. wishes all the best.

  18. Yes I was surprised they didn't introduce Park. With the advantage of an away goal they might just have tried to make it safe. Nothing venture nothing gain as they say. I wonder when Park will get a chance to play in the EPL.

Rice is 62 years old, been an assistant coach for 15 years and has already said that this season is likely to be his last in football as chronic knee pain impacts his ability to coach.
Absolutely no chance of him taking over the reigns - he could/should be given a desk job upstairs somewhere....
