First and foremost I just want to say Hazard was in the wrong, he overreacted and should have let the referee deal with the situation. However in this idealistic world we live in where everything is perfect and rose-tinted, when you are a 21 year old, who has come to a new country and coming to terms with a change in culture and chasing a semi final by which the opposition are deliberately time-wasting you are bound to lose your composure. Sky, BBC and the sensationalist media didn't show it but there was a TV angle that revealed Hazard did in fact kick the ball not the ballboy. When the ball suddenly popped under the ballboy when Hazard 'supposedly kicked' him. Wouldn't that suggest he got the ball? That "child" is 18 this year Sums up everything that's wrong with this country and I can't wait for the day the media are regulated by the Government, it's pure and utter garbage and framing people for (moral) "crimes" that don't exist. To quote Wandering Yid on the Spurs board, "100 years ago kids his age were enlisting to fight in trenches, now the nation is splitting hairs of a slight accidental jab in the ribs.
So Hazard was 21 last year and the ballboy is 18 later this year. Nice way to close the gap. It's still an adult putting his hands (and feet) on a minor.
OK he's 17! Thats old enough to understand the rules , unless he's completely thick, and if he cant understand them he shouldn't be called on to be a ball boy!
I think the point is, is that he's no 'boy'. Had he been any good, he was old enough to have been playing in that game. Had Hazard then kicked him on the pitch in a tackle would you say an adult was assaulting a minor? Thought not.
No, but there wouldn't have been an article claiming getting a kicking is fair enough for wasting a few seconds either would there?
Love how Pat's always got the balls to go against the grain and leave presenters lost for words, only able to repeat their questions with added exaggeration "oh but he's done this and that!". He showed up Hansen on the weekend when he was explaining to the the fool about the penalty appeal in the 5pu1s United match about how the referee from his angle could legitimately have thought that Rooney had kicked the defender, but Hansen was too stubborn to admit that Pat was right.
He was made to look an idiot on MOTD really. He was asked for his opinion and gave the refs view point. Bit thick really considering he was asked for his opinion but lacked the balls to just admit it was a penalty.
You don't get it do you? We're not saying we lost because of the incident. I couldn't care a less about the loss, I care about the Witch-hunt and character assassination of a 22 year old foreign player with a young family.
No lacking balls is being sheep by going along with the crowd, like for instance supporting the biggest club in the country. He didn't deny it was a penalty, but offered greater insight into why the referee thought it wasn't. We didn't need anymore opinions on whether it is or isn't a penalty, we can make our own mind up on that, but unless we had been brought to the attention of what the referee saw we would never have known why he didn't give it.
He's from Belgium, I think they might also have a law against assault but hey ho, maybe they attack each other for fun and rape and pillage after a Sunday Service, who am I to know.
If you want to get pedantic, they weren't actually asked anything. Murray just told them to give their views after Hansen brought up the penalty incident, despite only being asked if a draw was the right result (but I'm not the one who has a problem with such a thing, you do). Not that they need to specifically ask them for it. They're football pundits. It's in their job description to give added insight and information on incidents that took place. Just how dense are you? If they just wanted yes or no answers they could bring in any Dick and Harry off the street and there would be no point in having any match analysis.
He needs everything explained to him. It's like he's been born with a missing functionality from his brain and needs extra help in order to digest information. If only he could admit that then we would be more understanding, but he thinks everyone else just comes up with points that make no sense when he's the only one who doesn't get them.
He'll probably be joining the ballboy on next year's rendition of Celeb BB. Clearly loves the attention
