Appologies but I can't do links so if anyone else wants to put it on here please feel free.

There is a really interesting thread on the above with the title as shown. It is an eye opening account of certain things regarding our Administration from what seems the legal side and Administrator's side. It asks the question in the end as per the title and the answer may well be no. They are to change their whole outlook and procedure following their involvement with PAFC and I think it does show how close to the final nail we were. It also talks about certain bidders and why Heaney was seen originally as the only serious contender in Town. It talks about confidentiality and funding and neither will feature in the same way in future. No silence and no unfunded Admins. The next club, and he is predicting 2012 as being another year of the same, may not survive at all. Perhaps our opinion of Brendan was a bit unjust at the time and he at least admits there were mistakes made which is quite novel.

Have a read it is worth it.

Thank you Gat. I think the one he regrets most is not getting money upfront to pay their fees................ You must admit it is an interesting read though.

Very interesting article. The use of a web site to keep people informed seems a good idea. It would have helped P & A in our case.

He's not admitting to mistakes as such just decisions that seemed right & reasonable at the time which turned out to be wrong.

He's also saying that hysteria amongst the fans, although driven by devotion to the club, made matters worse.

Lastly, I think he's whistling in the wind again by saying that they won't accept confidentiality clauses, will insist on full payment within a month etc. This is exactly the same as publishing timetables for the PAFC transaction which fans then became upset about when delays occurred. The fact of the matter is that the buyers are always likely to have the whip hand and the administrator can huff and puff as much as he likes - in the end the buyers will drive the process.

If indeed there are any buyers for a going concern notdistant. As you have said getting involved with a football club at the lower end especially needs somebody with either some sort of massive ego or lack of grey matter. What they may find is that they have buyers for land and possibly assets rather than the whole as a going concern to remain as a football club. He does acknowledge a mistake in there but I don't think he was even trying to make any kind of apppology to anyone. Argyle are a football club like any other and have supporters who are quite fanatical about it. They are experienced administrators and have been involved with several admins previously involving clubs. What exactly did he expect other than supporters weeping and wailing and wanting things. I would doubt that the confidentiality aspect would be enforceable if insisted upon either but possibly a time limit for money upfront maybe. This will obviously depend on saleability. What they want to avoid is not being paid in full again and if this means winding a club up and flogging off the parts in quick time then I can't see how they would not be able to do that if in control of it all. Anyway, it probably won't be long before the next club in line is in this position and they get another job so we might not have that long to wait and see.
