There seems to be a lot of frustration regarding PASB receiving answers of question put to the PAFC boardroom on behalf of the fans.

Answers seem to be hard to come by and the Board often give an obscure answer or no answer at all....one high profile PASB member as had enough and quit (Damon)......why has Brent set up this PASB.....to interact with or to stifle fans involvement.

What do others think is going on.....and where does this leave the AFT set-up.

    AFT Member No 202.

Rather depends what the questions are doesn't it? If they concern detailed matters which are sensitive commercially or personally or which, for example, reach outside the club into unrelated property developments, then specific answers are never going to be forthcoming.

Before you say that means it isn't worth communicating at all, I disagree. There are plenty of worthwhile topics in terms of club policy and strategy, including financial strategy, that could be discussed without ploughing into confidential detail. That is what I'd understand this sort of consultative or oversight involvement should be all about.

The PASB and AFT are both worthless. Bit strong I hear the cry from notdistant. Not at all. Brent controls the former and can easily ignore the existance of the later. This makes both worthless in my view. He promised to introduce a supporters voice which he has done. He never promised to answer any of their questions or take it seriously. He already dismissed the AFT once and now only talks to them if he feels like it and if they are being good. What is the point in either existing. Any real question of interest to the supporters takes weeks to get a grunt of a response and seldom tells them anything at all in the end. Any crap question like how much should a pasty be on matchday gets a reply but means little to anyone. Communication yes it is but it's like a gossip over a garden fence where nothing of interest is ever talked about.

Having read some of the he said, they said, he did this, he did that childs play on the other sites it is hardly surprising. Recent thread on pasoti regarding Sheridan wants the club to be asked if Sheridan is putting in enough effort and committed to the club <laugh> I hate to be rude but how stupid can people be, How the hell do they expect the club to answer that.... Ohhh well actually he is a lazy bastard, never here, just sits in the office all day surfing porn on the internet (oh hang on thats me)....of course not!!!
The supporters groups have no financial investment in the club and will, and should not, be involved in the higher running of the club and decision making. When the club is under performing the cry of we are the customers comes from the fans, well yes customers not owners, investors, directors or managers.
The power struggles, back stabbing and general crap amongst certain groups is hardly constructive as well. Asking customers what they want is one thing, asking the lunatics how to run the asylum is another. This group needs to develop slowly with time and with the support of the fan base and in a year or so we can validate its worth.
That said I think most of these groups are a load of crap.
