I believe we have 2 players contracted to Parma? What will happen if they go under? Are the players free to sign with us or indeed with anyone free? Could we lose them or will the players continue to be contractually obliged to us? thoughts anyone? http://www1.skysports.com/football/...parma-consider-legal-action-over-unpaid-wages
Munari and Tozser are both on loan from Parma I would guess they could exit their contract with Parma under breach of contract then sign to someone on a 'free' Not sure how it affects us though. I don't know if we pay the players directly or Parma pay (or not) then invoice us for the wages. All sounds very messy, and at least our two know they have a 'home' if they have to leave Parma.
Well I'll say this for the Italians - they sure know how to kick a team when they're down - deducting one point was bad enough but it looks as though two more are to follow. Whatever next! I guess if the team goes bankrupt the receiver will try to liquidate the assets which would mean our two would be up for grabs from the highest bidder - at a knock down price no doubt. I think we'd still have to buy them. I would suggest we have been paying them as if it was left to Parma then they'd be a lot thinner than they are.
Parma are being allowed to play out the season. As for our guys, certainly we have Tozer under contract for next season regardless. They don't have administration in Italy I believe but still think the players would be free to do deals with any club they choose
On Sky Sports last night they commented on Parma and the fact we have 2 loan players from them. They spoke to someone at the club who said this doesn't affect us at all. We have them on an 'International Transfer' which means they agreed terms with us directly, and that we would be looking at signing them up permanently in the summer.
