i caught an item on the news about criticsm of the fa. i understand the culture and sport select committee have met and interviewed fa reps, and were severely critical of the fa's organisation of football. i understand the report will reccommend the government to warn the fa to buck up, otherwise the government may legislate.
Always thought that it was in FIFA rules that governments had to stay clear of interfering with a country's FA.

about 2 weeks ago, a parliament culture and sports select committee, sat and interviewed fa reps. their report is due soon and is expected to be critical of the fa's governance of football and particularly the funding by the premier league. the committee are likely to ask the fa to put their house in order or the government will be reccommended to do it. my my! today the premier league are suddenly announcing they are cutting back, and their clubs must live within their premier grants, otherwise they will be punished. perhaps the fa may have someting else to say soon. we cannot have clubs living beyond their means and taking the easy way out into administration, whilst a few clubs live with in their limits and suffer at the hands of idiotic football boards. well done roland, you may be an old skinflint, but you run a great business,
I know it cannot be (FIFA rules)....but would anyone want a politician running football? Bad boards.......50% (?) Bad politicians who can't run anything.....100% Ed Balls or Roland? It's a no brainer, I'll take my chance with what I've got.
