I normally park at Bedminster Cricket club, it hasn't been open and there is nothing I can find on the website. Does anyone know if its still open?

I travel up from Devon and get off at Gordano, so its easy to both park and get away. Last time, I ended parking right up by the bridge. Bloody long walk!

As far as I'm aware it's shut. But I park in the industrial est by the old ship and castle.

If you're really early, you can get free parking somewhere on the estate.

For any posters who belong to the Streetlife forum, there is an interesting thread on Car parking . The locals are not happy.

I take it that the City supporters don't park outside your house then?

The point is that Southville is now a RPZ and residents have to pay for a permit to park outside their houses. The problem is that because the Council has totally ignored car parking as it relates to the new stadium, the permits are only valid on Mon to Friday. However, come match days residents are loathe to leave their houses as they know damn well they wont be able to park if they come back before 5pm. I always try to understand others points of view and while I know that ultimately this a Council problem, the foregoing attitudes will not endear the club to those affected. I must say if I was used to parking outside my house I would be pissed off if I had to park over a mile away. Like it or not parking is a problem. Ignoring it or criticising complainants wont make it go away. I hear stories of one bloke who keys any car parked within 50 yds of his house. Cant condone that of course but it is a real issue

I can't understand why the park and ride at long Ashton don't provide a bus service on match days, I have also noticed that the police put up more yellow cones for football matches than the Rugby - why?

Surely Ashton Vale would make the best car park. Come on SL open the gates!
Remember everybody, rev the bollux off your car and blow your horn when entering and
leaving this place of outstanding natural beauty.

He may well be but it wont stop him doing it and costing a lot of people a few hundred quid each. Still not my problem just advising that there is an issue. Its a Council problem.

Tell those affected to take their ****in whining to the council then.. In case you never noticed the people who are parking are doing so legally, they have paid their car tax which allows them to do so and some petty little jealous prick, keys their car cos he thinks he owns the road 50 yards each way outside his house.
