Struggled to get anywhere yesterday, normally park in the trading est behind car sales but full up. Went up to the other one but permits only, told to try Ashton School but they was also permits only. The stewards there said squeeze it on the road just past the school = £35 parking ticket please log in to view this image As I come over from Chepstow can't always get there early enough to find alternative parking does anyone know the contact numbers for the permit only places?
We travel up from Devon, this time of year the M5 is a nightmare as it is- Luckily it wasn't too bad on Saturday. We usually park at Bedminster CC, £5 and not a problem. This time, without warning, gate was closed and no explanation- Away fans used to be encouraged to park here but having looked on the bcfc website, it seems no longer the case. Not happy having travelled 90 miles to find that, luckily know Bristol well enough to find parking which meant about a mile walk. Wouldn't have minded but a bit of advance notice might have helped. If I was an away fan, I would be far from impressed.
I get mine through the club - Midas car park in Winterstoke Road - it's £180 per season - not sure if any spaces left but you could try?
Parking is a nightmare that the club has not paid enough attention. I live 14 miles from AG and left home at 11-45 for a 3pm k/o. Now in the Dolman and can only enter from the Park end and park a 10 minute walk away. For years I paid and parked in the Wintersoke car park but only friends of BCFC get in there these days. Next year and 27,000 capacity will mean things will only get worse.
Why can't the club, council and long Ashton park and ride get together to provide a service on match days offering a 10 minute shuttle
Will do, but if that bloke says alright Tone now you've given my name away I'm sending him to the south stand
