JI SET FOR CHAMPIONSHIP CHALLENGE RANGERS midfielder Ji-Sung Park insists he is focused on helping the club win promotion back to the Premier League at the first time of asking. A number of players have been linked with moves to and from Loftus Road since the end of last term. Park, however, insists he IS ready for a second season at QPR after moving from Manchester United last summer. “Every player is in the same situation,” Park told www.qpr.co.uk earlier today (Wednesday). “There will be players coming in and going out, but as a professional footballer, you should be used to that. “I’m used to it. It shouldn’t be a complication. Everyone must be individually focused on what they have to do. “Everyone knows their role and it shouldn’t have any influence on the team. “We only have a month left until the start of the season. I’m ready for it and everyone knows that they need to be ready, and how important this season is. But everyone looks sharp.” QPR travel to Exeter City on Thursday evening for their first fixture of the pre-season campaign. Park added: “I'm happy to be back and glad that we have our first match of pre-season on Thursday. I’m looking forward to it. “I had a good break. I was in Korea all summer and spent time with friends and family. “Last season was disappointing and it was good to get away to try and forget about everything, to relax and refresh my mind. “But now I’m feeling better all of the time. Training is very hard but my body is getting used to it. “We’ve had some hard sessions. Everyone’s fresh and determined to do well ahead of the new season. “The sessions are hard but fun and it’s a good mixture. Everyone is enjoying training.”
Park was poor last season, but I think he still has lots to offer the Club if his attitude on the pitch is good.
That because he's been there got the T/shirt. Everyone else is still dreaming if a move to a 'big' club and so want to leave to work towards that. He's happy to pick up a big wage in the championship.
I reckon he may do ok in the NPC. Obviously got the energy levels and look how that benifitted Mackie when we were last there.? He could prove to a good NPC player against mediocre oppo. Have to wait and see.
