I tell you why Pardew will always be despised at Charlton. A short story, as I was a bit better connected to the Club back then than I am now. On the day Pardew was announced at the Valley to the media, I believe it was around Xmas, a very young Charlton supporting kid was waiting for his hero in the car park. On seeing Pardew, he walked up to him and said words to the effect of " you coming back to Charlton is my best Xmas present". Pardew turned to the kid, sneered, and said "really" before walking of. I was told that story by a very, very credible person who witnessed it. Stories like that are the reason people despise Pardew. He is a c**t.
That story is true. Pardew doesn't touch upon the £1million he forced from the club after getting it horribly wrong for 18 months. Pure ego that was, he hated being sacked by a club in the championship.
Or get Palace relegated. And get them skint as well so that they go down twice. That would really go a long way.
