Well if this goes tits up and palace go down. I would happily take him as a replacement for Harry. You can see why he wants to leave Newcastle fans never liked him

Strange on this, and if I was a manager I would think this is a backward step on the career ladder?

Decent manager but his days are numbered with the Geordies i think.

Am i wrong in thinking that he played for Palace at some stage or was i just dreaming.?

Not a big enough name for the Geordies who still believe they are a real force...<doh>

EDIT..Sory only just read the article and says he played for them <doh>

Not only that but he still lives in Woldingham in Surrey. He has never moved up there.

I'm thinking with Pardow, you can only put up with so much crap for so long. The manager won't give him money to but players, he can't pick his players to buy and the fans hate him ........
Why would you want to continue?
    Better off starting again.
At Palace, he's an old boy, he is well liked by all four owners and whether they go down and have to rebuild, I'd think he rather do so than be at Newcastle.
Anyway, just my two bob's worth, mate.

Totally agree. He must not really enjoy managing them, although the money's probably alright! He will be respected at Palace, even if they go down.

You should read their board. apart from the mods who havea good veiw on this subject..all their posters would happily drive him to Palace and probably stop and murder him halfway. unbelieveable.
They also claim that Hoddle, Mc Claren and bruce would jump at taking the job <laugh>

    its bordering on embarrassing !

Don't blame him, the Geordies didn't exactly make him feel at home did they?

I like Newcastle but it seems many of the fans don't want a soft southerner at the helm. I can't see the Geordies scaling the heights of the PL with Steve Bruce in charge. I have a feeling some Newcastle fans might end up regretting what they have wished for.

Just to clarify, padrew is the past participle of my father's art classes.

Pardow is the stock market average for the USA.

    Hope this helps. :D

It baffles me. He won Manger of the year? Keeps them up. Dodgy chairman. They are a bit like LEEDS IMO - delusions of being MASSIVE. Quite who is MASSIVE enough to manage them or worthy? Surely not some continental. Have to be a Scot or Northerner. Or an ex-player.
Weird bunch I think - maybe they want Harry??? :)
