Pardew

I was flicking through a pre season review magazine, and there was an interesting section where fans were rating their managers out of 10. Now what I noticed was that a lot of managers received 9 or 10. ( from Manure, Everton, Chelski, Liverpool, tottenham fans) And some also received very low marks! (Blackburn, Villa). However, Pardew appeared to fit into neither category. Fans are genuinely split on him.

I wonder where fans stand on him now after our solid start to the season. I'll admit, I was horrified when we appointed him, but, although I'm still not completely convinced, he has gone up in my estimations. He has made us hard to beat. I know a lot of fans are split. Ashley's puppet? Or a genuine EPL standard boss?

So what would you give wor Alan out of 10?

(This is my first article since relocating to not606 btw, so please don't criticise me too much! This article was a product of boredom, and wanting to break into the not606 mainstream )

 

Assuming that 10 is SAF/Mourinho, and 1 is Kinnear (or Bruce )? Tough but I'd say 6 or 7, doing a canny job and we could do a lot worse.

Of his 26 games in charge we've only lost 7.

When he was being touted for the job barely any of us wanted him, but you can't complain at how he's won us over. he's doing a decent job too and his new look team is starting to look the part too with a couple of additions. 7/10 from me.

 

When you put it like that. The man has done rather a good job. Just shows we need strikers to finish games off when we are drawing.

On a managerial side of things....I give him a 7.

On a PR side.....I give him a 5.

7 from me, would have said 6 but I've warmed to Pardew a lot more recently (in a non AH/Leazes way). And welcome .

 

Really? I'd say PR is his strength, he knows what to say in interviews and gives them regularly, dont get the "PR-dew" thing, or whatever it is.

 

Wtf? The guys main strength is PR. I'd give him an 8 or 9 for that. Much better than most managers out there.

He gets a solid 7 from me, although he wasn't my personal choice for the job (was he anyones? ) he's doing well long may that continue.

 

Pards is brilliant at PR, he always says the right things. I think every interview is brilliant! Also he comes across a canny guy in them, you can't help but like him.
