When you're Pardewed you stay Pardewed. He's managed five of the bottom seven clubs in the Premier League.
The manner that the fans conducted themselves was very much worthy of criticism. But, he went, and we got John Carver.
Chill guys, we were unreasonable in hounding him out as we are the worst type of really, really northern fans - Newcastle fans. West Brom are allowed to and West Ham/ Crystal Palace are London teams so their fans are immune to criticism for such. Just roll with it, we were similarly unfair to Sam Allardyce for serving up ****e and drifting us towards relegation but West Ham and Everton fans are ok despite him securing them from a dodgy situation. We're simply pesky, delusional, Geordies who are wrong to expect what other fans do.
Have their fans set up sackpardew.com web sites, driven billboards around the city, or handed out flyers for their fans to hold up? Not to mention the bedsheets and all of the rest of the crap. I never minded people wanting a change of manager but the lack of class these folk showed was humiliating for the club (and themselves tbf).
He's a **** manager and a bellend. All those Pardew arse lickers that insisted that we wouldn't do any better....Rafa? The guy deserved to be hounded out. Blaming everyone and everything for his own shortcomings. West Brom will sack him and hopefully we never see his smug grin in football again.
Considering the way in which owners are running their clubs at the bottom end of the PL I actually have sympathy for these managers, the players don't help in a lot of cases and are in some cases actually obstructive and disruptive as they know their monetary value gives them a certain amount of protection, if Rafa was not our manager at this time how many fans do you think would be calling for the manager to be sacked, I have seen some suggestion of sacking Rafa in some fans comments on the Mag and other forums as if that is going to make the team any better.
Howe will never get Arsenal, he along with Dyche will only ever get the also rans, they will eventually be treated by fans of clubs exactly the same as Pardew, Pulis etc, the top 6 clubs with the money to burn and be there will only ever look at foreign managers, Rodgers may get a shout but then Celtic are pissing about in a very small pot and he had his chance at Liverpool and failed. English managers don't get the chance at the top of the tree and are by and large screwed by the owners further down the league, Moyes was ****ed at Man Utd and needed a much longer transition which even now Jose hasn't managed to finish pushing through, it's a **** situation.
I agree with your point about English Managers being overlooked for the top jobs, but David Moyes has never, and will never be a top manager. With Everton for ten years and won nothing. He was lucky enough to walk into the Community Shield Final with ManUre (earned by Sir Alex) his time with Sunderland was insipid and his Spanish 'adventure' was a disaster. I would rather have Tony Pulis here than David Moyes, and that's not saying much.
Pards is a really good manager, really... Ask Pouchy. From the BBC “I am pretty sure, in an ideal world, West Brom would leave Alan Pardew in charge for the remainder of the season. But with every defeat, it gets harder and harder. Appointed in November, he has won one Premier League game.”
For once, i think we can all agree as Newcastle fans that Pards is doing a fantastic job. Its just a pity he cannot manage more than one club at a time. Stoke could do with his magic too.
Yes but somehow they elected to hire Lambert instead of an actual capable manager. He's possibly actually worse.
