Newcastle manager Alan Pardew: "There has been a lot of work and effort to get that win. From the players to the chairman to get the new players in. First half we were magnificent, second half the French lads ran out of legs but we hung on.

Jonas was all over the place for 90 minutes? he was litterally falling over in front of you Alan
You failed to react Villas changes
you played a CB at CM the poor bastard.
You brough Shola on , put Cisse RW AGAIN

I mean really the man needs some medication.

I'm pleased for the 3 points but we are in trouble if he persists with his lunacy.

I agree 100% with this post. Pardew baffles even the brainiest of people. He should also go to Specsavers if he didn't see the crap Jonas dished up.

I think he needs a hobby, or a course of cockney acupuncture, where they actually punch yer and tell you your subs are mental.

or hes sat there in his office through the night with a giant manuscript writing "all team and no jonas make alan a dull boy" over and over, whilst nile ranger trundles round on a 4 year old kids tricycle outside

too be fair i think he went with a team he felt capable and we were for a long time...also giving correct players a game to help with fitness and bedding mapou in slowly (in mid tho..wtf)
weve got a hectic schedule coming up

At the end of the match I noticed that Pardew went over to Jonas and gave him a long congratulatory hug like he'd been a star performer. Maybe he sees something we don't or maybe Jonas is blackmailing him.

Think it was more to do with Jonas surviving the entire game without being sent-off!

Was it Weimann who raked the back of his legs completely off the ball? If I'd have been Jonas, I'd probably have had more than a few words with the ref over the incident. Nothing would delight me more to see that festering poo of a football club destroyed and out of business. I'm sure some of the fans are lovely, but the ones I have encountered have all been utter tossers.

When went to the cinema in Glasgow two weeks after our relegation, with a Newcastle coat on, some guy wearing a Villa top turned round as I was coming up the stairs and shouted at the top of his voice "VILLA VILLA VILLA VILLA HAHAHAHAHA". Now, people on here know I'm not the sort of infantile person who would enjoy revenge or partake in petty malice <whistle>, but I'll be heading up to Glasgow and shouting "Toon" like a crazed hobo conversing with pigeons if they go down and we don't!

Not one for violence, however when it comes to a bit of sarcasm or "your mother" based put downs, then the gloves are firmly off. Their mother prefers it that way <laugh>

    Well maybe we could look at it this way;

    - Jonas stays on because, frankly, there's no-one better to bring on. For a change, he played a left winger on....the left wing. Given his comments on Marv (said he was playing well), I think Marv could well have either started that game or been that choice of sub.
    - Jonas did keep putting himself about, more than a lot who ran out of steam. Not brilliant, and zero creativity, but maybe this game was about squeaking through.
    - Mapou should be a CB, yes - but what was our alternative, take off Taylor or Colo? Suddenly go to 3 at the back?
    - Shola was told to stay back...and we didn't concede. Hairy moments, but it's a win, 3 points.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of what Pardew has done this season has been unforgivable, but maybe we're getting a little too quick on his back. Yes, he should have been flayed alive for his Reading fck up, but on this one...not so much.
