No. Good qualifications, history with Arsene Wenger but still no.

Nah, he'd be difficult to get away from them and by all accounts is a bit of an arsehole. I'm not convinced that he's more to thank for Newcastle's rise than their scouts. I remember him starting the season playing Ba on the wing or off another striker, if it wasn't for Ba's hattrick early on I'm not convinced he'd have realised his error.

why would we want a manager that finished 10th in the championship with charlton and saw West Ham through their worst run of defeats in over 70 years.

first thing I think of when pardews name is mentioned, is "slimeball" would hate to see him anywhere near this club, unless its in the dug out as his teams get thumped.

I'd much rather have Graham Carr as a scout tbh, although unfortunately he just signed a 10 year contract.

nope...and i dont care about his passport...we are too big for Pardew...we need a good backroom staff and alot of our problems will be cut in half....Levy has walked many walks with our club going foreign, english, director of football etc etc and he is a very good businessman and will have learnt from all these experiences...i think he will have something vey intresting and exciting planned for us.

The fact that he quickly moved to say he was happy at Newcastle and wants to stay as long as they'd have him, as well as saying he wants to keep hold of Ba and wants him and Cisse up front next season, are both things Harry could have done...but didn't.

Pardew did a very good job for Newcastle last season.
He motivated his team well, got them playing good football and overcame the limitations of the squad.
His management of Hatem Ben Arfa, which was often a sticking point with Newcastle fans in the first half of the season, was top notch.

Let's see if he can continue to impress.

There'll be some interest in a number of Newcastle players this summer and more focus on anyone that they're interested in signing, too.
With the added games that a European campaign can bring, it will test Pardew in a way that he's pretty unfamiliar with.
Newcastle would do well to get behind him and support him, if he stumbles a little at this hurdle.
West Ham failed to do so when he took them into the UEFA Cup and struggled to cope, sacking him before Christmas.

That is correct. He was one of our head scouts but in 2010 was offered a more senior role at his home town club, so chose to move.

Are we all agreed on this being a no no? Are we at one?

Are we all united again after our extended discussion of the previous manager? ;)
