Another snipped of the man that will take us down, its becoming laughable that he can praise debuchy as all I can see in him is an overrated piece of **** who is so far out of his depth its un true.

His attitude is the only thing that comes close to his ability, worst right back I can remember us having at least left side balances out with the other joke santon.

But in Pardews eyes praise The Lord praise debuchy

So he deserves kudos for looking below average at best against prem opposition and looking good against Morecambe!? It must just be some feel-good tactics from Pards and at least it looks like he's improving, we'll see against fulham though really

This. He aint settled well. He clearly has some ability. But seems to make the wrong decision. I posted an article about him last week and the general feeling between most of us was that Simpson was a better defender.

What next after the weekend " cayabe showed great character to be on the Bench against Fulham"
What they need is a rocket up there arse we are so weak and have no sole.

The game against Sunderland highlighted that but it was the way we responded the week after that hit the nail on the head when we got battered against liverpool.

People like James perch last season deserved praised for giving everything
When he did play not heartless efforts
    Like most of our foreigners

No signings coming in as Ashley takes his cut and guaranteed Pards will say ( if Cabs stays ) `` Its like a new signing having Cabaye back in the side. `` Oh theres our signing then.

    I agree.

It would have been much better to slate both him personally and all other heartless foreigners as well. This would improve the team and be much better man management.

A player who has clearly struggled to settle in a new country, has had some appalling performances and his best friend who played a big part in the transfer is trying to leave. That is the situation with Debuchy.

He had a decent performance, albeit againts lower opposition, but how is it a bad thing that Pardew is giving him a confidence boost? Seems like decent man management to me.

Unbelievable that we have a Prem match tomorrow, the transfer window ending in a few days and the only news we've got is Debuchy's booster. #shambles.

I thought the consensus was the January signings needed to bed in? Now some of you are turning on one of them. Almost as bad a the fool on my board who's already calling Altidore the new Heskey. They'll always be the odd few fans who can't see the bigger picture isn't their lads? <doh>

To be fair to Pardew he has to try and do somehing, so is it not good man management with a player who is obviously struggling.

As much as I think a kick up the arse is sometimes needed, I can't see that working with Debuchy and it could have more of a detrimental effect. He seems more of an arm around the shoulder type and biggin him up might work better as long as he's not just saying it to the press and is actually also doing it face to face with Debuchy.

The time to support them and to bed in was over the summer and get them settled and ready for the kick of this season.

I am all for praising people but how can anyone be praised who deliberately got themselves sent off against liverpool ???

How does it look like the other players
Who had to take the backlash of his
    Shocking performance

You're not wrong in what you're saying, but simple fact is Debuchy is first choice RB and we're stuck with him.

    Pardew has two choices.
    1. Work with him and get the best out of him going forward or
    2. Write him off as not good enough and go with someone else
Options are limited at RB, so other than moving Santon across whatever else does he do.

It might not taste well having to massage Debuchys ego but sometimes it has to be done.
