Pardew being charged with improper conduct in prematch comments (no details yet) and Clarke leaving Swindon after punch up with di Canio. All go isn't it?
I find it amusing that Clarke went and sat in the centre circle with his heads in his hands sulking, like an emotionally fragile teeenager. I know footballers can be petulant but that is mad!
This seems strange. There is a long way to go between having having a go at each other on the pitch and actually quitting the club. Something else must have happened.
Clarke was moaning about the fitness coach as di Canio tried to get him off the pitch. Complaining about having to train the next day. di Canio was just trying to get him off the pitch. Then has punch up with manager and sulks on pitch. Don't think any team needs a player like that.
There will be plenty more examples of this during the season. It may be a coincidence but I think most of the infighting will be seen just after Saints have visited, just like at Swindon. No-one likes to be given a lesson and when they think they have prepared themselves for a game, it must come as a bit of a shock to be torn apart.
Di Canio said Clarke has been trouble since he arrived and that he is lazy and unprofessional. He may be hearing from Clarke's lawyers, though from what we've seen di Canio was right and was only trying to get him off the field.
Footballers know nothing. Can't do it myself because I have small feet (not related to anything else in a female) so without some heel I may slip off the clutch. Would football boots give me a better grip do you think?
