Pardew lines up Obertan switch

Apparently Obertan is off in a huff for not being selected of late.
Looks like Pards has his move lined up for him.

Didn't even notice he wasn't a sub yesterday.

There are reports that one of the Newcastle star stormed out of St.James’ Park before the Arsenal match, Gabriel Obertan is said to have left the ground before kick-off after failing to even make the bench.

gabriel obertanIt is reported by the Daily Mail that he left around an hour before the 1.30pm kick off after Alan Pardew named his eighteen players who’d be involved against Arsenal.

It is no surprise for fans to see the ex-Manchester United winger left out and indeed supporters have been left bemused by the Newcastle manager recently including Obertan on his bench, considering the total lack of any form shown on the odd time the winger has been given pitch time.

Despite today’s defeat it is hard to see any way that Obertan has a route back to the team and certainly not too many fans would be upset to see him leave in January, whether on a loan or permanent deal.

It was claimed Newcastle tried to shift him in the summer but that the player had said he wanted to give it a bit longer to fight for his place….a somewhat remote possibility even without this latest incident.

 

Sooner the better, he is not a footballer.

 

Please find another club for him.

 

Does he not appreciate that with 7 subs on the bench, there isn't room for his head to fit?

It's strange you know. Sir Alex Ferguson bought him at Manchester United and he has shown flashes of brilliance...

...he just seems to look lost sometimes, clueless almost. I just don't think he'll ever settle properly in England.

He's been dropped for many games. Obertan doesn't seem the type to storm out

 

Because he heard that Pardew wanted to do a swap deal involving Obertan being exchanged for a new Christmas jumper.
