Dover Athletic chairman Jim Parmenter has hit out at new Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew after the sides' third round FA Cup clash.

Palace beat Dover 4-0 in a convincing display on the south-east coast and now face the prospect of a fourth round trip to either Southampton or Ipswich.

Parmenter has since branded the Palace boss 'arrogant' and rubbished Pardew's claims his team were forced to walk twenty minutes to the ground after the team bus pulled up short.

The Dover chief said you could 'crawl up the hill in a couple of minutes' and took exception to the 53-year-old's attitude once inside the Crabble Athletic Ground.

“It’s complete arrogance for him to expect us to make special arrangements just because it’s him," Parmenter told The Sun.

“I don’t know what Pardew was doing for 20 minutes – you can crawl up there on all fours in a couple of minutes.”

Parmenter added that the former Newcastle manager was 'rude' to Dover staff.

I watched the pre match interview and didn't see any behaviour from Pardew that could be called arrogant, it was the interviewer who drew attention to the issue and it was also mentioned in the pre match build up by the BT presentation team, Dover Chairman making a bit of a storm in a tea cup, Dover were crap and but for the pitch and some goalkeeping heroics should really have lost about 8-0 at least.

He should count his blessings he came out of the encounter with no bruises to his forehead and get on with his life.

This bloke is a complete bell end. Sounds a lot like trying to deflect away the disappointment of getting smashed 4-0 having done all those newspaper interviews claiming a giant killing was on the cards - only to see them not register a shot on target. They got brutalised by Pards and didn't like it. I reckon Pards should stick one on him...

He forgot to say 'I found the man to be a **** in all honesty. I also found him balls deep in one of the ballboys at half time'

He seemed to be in a bit of a mood with something, Pardew.

At half time as he was walking off he pushed the camera away from him with his hand, what was that all about?

The guy's a ****ing prat, I hope he gets a Zaha two footer to his face in training.
