As I've insisted since October he needs to go and needs to go now or on 90 mins the game we are safe! I'd be surprised if this man could tell when it's time for the chips to come out the oven let alone make the correct calls during a football match. It's no longer just his arrogant methods but even his voice and the shape of his head for me.
If you are talking about NOW like you say in your post tghen definitely no. It would serve no purpose sacking him now. I disagree with sacking him in teh summer if we stay up, but i know i'm in the minority on that one.
sack the ****e medical team ..and pay on play basis contract ..that would be interesting.. see how many sick notes play more games .. anyway pardew hopefully gone after this season ..
The thing that infuriates me with Pardew is his loyalty to certain players regardless of their form, ( Jonas for starters ). Keep bringing Shola on has proved to be a complete waste of a sub as he does f..k all when he's one and we hit even more hoof balls . I reckon most PL teams relish playing us as we are so predictable and easy to pick off. I'll be happy now to finish 17th, get the season over with and look to re-evaluate during the close season and that includes all our coaches and medical staff.
Get to the end of the season, stay up by any means and then sack the useless tampon in the summer Then get a manager who destroys this 'jobs for the boys' mentality and with some sort of tactical ability.
Absolutely stay, it amazes me how fickle people can be. We finished FIFTH under Pardew last season and were in the Champions League fight until the last day, first manager since Sir Bobby to get us that high! Of course this season has been disappointing, but I think this is far more to do with injuries than with Pardew, the big stat today was that we've fielded 32 players this season, that's one shy of three separate starting 11's! If that isn't a massively injury-hit squad I don't know what is?! I honestly can't see much in the way of high-profile departures this summer, so we clear out the deadwood, bring in a few more young, solid bench players a la Bigi and Haidara, and a striker and we can hopefully look forward to an exciting season next year! In Pardew I Trust!
Agree with most of this and he has at times had very little option with who to play. But Pardew's tactics are still questionable.
He told me Allardyce was fired in front of the trading floor (an audience) by MA in a cocky way... And he was.
If its true, not sure what I think of Rafa. Can't make my mind up about him. His last few clubs' fans haven't been happy with him by all accounts.
Gone. Now we've finished in Europe, "the pitch" is his latest excuse for our latest horrendous performance.
If you mean literally now then that is just plain stupid. Therefore, I will assume you mean Summer and I would say no. We have for years constantly suffered from chopping and changing managers. Pardew has not been great this year but last year he was. Injuries have played a very big part in this season and combined with lack of investment last summer ( Ashley's fault not Pardew's ). Hopefully they have learned on the latter point and there will be proper investment this summer. Pardew's tactics have been constrained by the players there ( lack of investment ) and players available ( injuries). Hopefully with investment and less injuries we will have a better season next year and better football to watch. As said in Dad's Army .....Don't Panic.
Out in summer. Not been a fan of his since his arrival to be honest. Those people defending him often quote last season's 5th place finish as the main reason he should stay. However, I struggle to remember a game where we truly dominated the opposing team since he came in. Last season's success was built mainly around solid defensive performances and the occasional bit of brilliance from one or two of our players. That hasn't happened for us this season. Admittedly, our injuries have been crippling and the Europa League hasn't helped matters. But we have what many people consider a very talented team of footballers. Why is it then, that we fail to play good football?
