Agree with this. Mickey Quinn gave him a bit of a mouthful in last nights Chronicle too.

If Demba wants to be greedy then he should just leave Toon.

He's given us a years great service and we can bag £7m from selling him on. If he wants to move on, ship him out to Turkey before the likes of Liverpool and Tottenham come sniffing and have done with it.

No point in criticising Ba for it. We also agreed to the clause when we signed it. He is well within his rights to move on if someone bids the right amount of money. As I said in my previous post, just make sure we ship him on to a club abroad rather than any of our rivals in the league such as Liverpool and Tottenham.

Its all just ongoing paper talk. Nothing has changed. No where in that does anybody at Newcastle confirm this supposed meeting. I thought Pards was at the Euros anyway? I'm not worried, what will be will be. He does need to decide but whether he does won't hold us up much. We will have our plans finalised already with contingencies in place for the Demba situ. We've known a long time that this situation would arise in the summer.

Not about Ba being greedy either. It was a situation all were comfortable with.

Agree with this, plenty of time left this summer and Ba himself was reported to have said he wants to be settled by the time pre season training starts which suggests if he is going to go it will be early July rather than leaving it till near the time when his clause expires on July 31.
Would think it unlikely he will go after the clause expires so July 31 whilst still close to the season starting will still leave plenty of time to snap up a replacement.
