Alan Pardew has up-to and including the away fixture vs Burnley on December 2nd to turn things around at Newcastle United.

The media frenzy, coupled with the seeming swell of support for the 'sackpardew.com' web-site have pushed the Londoner to the brink of being sacked.

Fat, useless and utterly ambitionless owner, Mike Ashley will give his under-fire Manager until the beginning of December to get things sorted on the pitch and get Newcastle United back up into the middle of the Barclays Premier League table.

It's thought that former Manchester United Manager, David Moyes is favourite to replace Pardew in December. This timing would allow Moyes to establish targets in the transfer market and then actively pursue them when the January transfer window opens.

Nine Premier League fixtures and one League Cup fixture (which the Board don't care about) to save his 'bacon'.

    Can he do it?

More rubbish journalism i fear! Speculation abounds when it comes to Newcastle United. Lazy journalists forced to fill column inches at the behest of their superiors means we get **** like this. I could do the same.... "Brendan Rodgers tenure as manager of Liverpool is under pressure because of the lacklustre displays so far this season. The Fenway Sports group are understood to be worried about Liverpool finishing in the Champions League positions this season, but are willing to give Brendan more time. They understand that losing a player like Suarez will have an effect short term on the teams performance but their financial model requires Liverpool to qualify for Champions League next season"

See its piss easy to write a speculative piece of lazy journalism!!!!

    More Press Bollocks!!!

I think you've misunderstood. It mentions establishing, then pursuing targets. Nothing about actually getting them over the line though <ok>

I'd settle for that if it's true.

Biggest problem I can foresee IF this is true ..Is Pardew has a history of going on 'runs' both good (beginning of last season) and bad (erm...since January), And the chancer might just get into another ..run, save his job and be here while we slowly drop down the league again in the new year, And we are in exactly the same position in 12 months time (but potentially in the championship)

In retrospect, I truly believe any positive run of form we have had under Pardew was DESPITE him ..not because of him ..He has no Plan B when things go poorly, No plan B when we are two down, No Plan B when we are One nil up and cruising apart from hang on grimly (even against league 1 opposition) .. He has no plan B to corners (if we just whack it to Willo for the 143rd time ..it WILL work this time), He has no plan B when a player falls out of form, No plan B to develop/Introduce youngsters, No plan B to tactics beyond hoof it up to the 'big fellah', while all the time blaming everyone else from the fans to HBA to the wrong leaves on the tracks...
Everything he does is Championship Manager at best and as a charlatan chancer at worse (he is like a poor mans Alardyce...at least Fat Sam would have crunched the numbers re corners and done summat about them years ago etc)

This problem needs addressing ..and has OBVIOUSLY needed addressing for over a year.. Its about time the board and MA actually stopped fannying about with Pardew , bite the bullet , pay him off like the syphilitic whore he is, As he isn't going to walk, (even IF it meant we didnt buy a 5 Mil player due to it or lost a 'purple' replacement for a year..(MA would probably consider doing that ..right hand paying from the left pocket..) it would be well worth it)

So just delaying it and possibly allow Pardew to chance onto a run of form, and if he doesn't luck on to a jammy streak of form..then we are 10 games down the line and a possible 30pts pissed down the drain..This is NOT leadership from the top..its NOT making decisions for the good of the club and certainly is NOT helping the stability of the club. (not that those things matter...Next years financial figures is all that is important)

(the only reason I can see for summat like this is we have NO one that will touch the job..and they need to time to line/convince someone up)

That off my chest ... think this is just more journo bollox though and a quiet day in the newsroom

So everything good we have done under pardew is luck but everything bad Is because of him. I can understand hating pardew mate but this is extreme.

No ..he has done some good things (but has there been a lot of Good in the last 3-4 yrs?)... the problem being he is a mid -table championship manager at best, So is permanently dragging a premiership club down to that level ..... Players/tactics/morale/instructions/set pieces/development etc etc. He is in charge of certain aspects (limited due to MA) of a premiership club with 'decent' PL players, organisation, resources (not just financial)etc etc ...So it often works as PL club DESPITE him ...I mean he doesn't enhance it/build it/develop it ..he drags it down to his level of competence ...He has a potential Formula one car on his hands and drives it like its a mini metro.

If NUFC are going to 'compete' with the top 4-7 and with respect to MA's restrictions..We NEED a manager that can pull the 'decent' PL players/organisation etc UP to his level..help them play better, change & develop tactics when needed, develop youngsters, develop training methods, more flexible man management etc etc

I don't hate Pardew, one of his longer term ...give it time ..supporters. But he has had that time and has been found wanting..

Personally ...I think that Cabaye might have been the REAL brains on the field and dressing room, and he covered for a lot of Pardew's shortcomings, with his own strength's.. Remove those strength's and all you have is shortcomings

So its less about all good vs all bad..more ...being dragged to the level of the manager...slowly but surely. We have seen it happen over the last 3 seasons ..

Yeah you're obviously bang on in regards to constant tactical ineptness but again we get to the problem of who we would bring in. Someone like say, laudrup, won't come..so we are at best hoping for a young forward thinking manager who would like the chance to manage at a club this size..and how long would this young promising manager last..because honestly, trying to work under ashleys restrictions I could just ultimately see another protest to get the next suffering wretch who trys to manage us out of the club

I'm starting to think the best we could hope for, realistically, is someone like pulis..and that is horrifying.

Pulis ...shudders, whats really scarey is Pulis might be very attractive to MA.. being a 'safe pair of PL hands'..as long as we end up 17th or higher each season...job done.
(That, I hope, is being a bit hard on MA. I do think he wants the most successful team he can get ..for the price, and wouldn't be happy with 17th or higher every season, 10th though is just fine and dandy)

Totally agree Laudrup wouldnt come or would walk within 6 months, Tim Sherwood being bandied about scares the hell out of me too.
(Stuart Pearce could be a .. possible ..but again would he want to come? I seriously doubt it atm)

I have tried to think of an up and coming, forward thinking manager who would 'fit' the club and I draw a blank every time, though I am not up on possible continental based ones, and that is where I think we would find a possible one or two

Maybe someone that keeps up with the european leagues can suggest a name or three

I agree, David Moyes would be good only if he is given free reigns to sign his own players.

We've sold our best players and now we will be relegated.

Well we haven't sold Raylor, Saylor, Willo or Sameobi so if he is half right then you must mean you want us relegated? <steam>

Load of rubbish made up journalism. What if he loses the next 3 on the bounce. He'll definitely be gone.
