Pardew wanted Hatem Ben Arfa to step up, and boy did he do it.

    Alan Pardew after the game:
On the wonder strike he scored tonight.

I really can't wait to see this wonder striker later on. And apparently, Santon and Gutierrez had storming games too.

Hopefully this now means Ben Arfa will be deployed as a winger, as we all remember he had his best game on the wing against Everton. I really can't wait to see more of this lad.

Will everyone be jumping on the HBA wagon now?

Im glad. Myself and others have had to wait a while.

    Hopefully Pards is finally convinced.

I think a lot of people have wanted HBA to start for a while now. Think it was just his position that was up for debate.

Absolutely. The wing is his perfect place against the poor teams in our league. He has proven it pretty much within 10 mins of playing there.

Just imagine the season we could be having if he had been their all season and Obertan was warming the bench?

    But never mind, forward thinking.

I've got a feeling that Pards will make Obertan and Benny switch positions ...

I think that may actually work better than the current system.

I hate to add a sour note, but I have a worrying feeling that, even after this overwhelming evidence, Obertan will still start on the wing whilst Ben Arfa will still get cameo appearances behind the striker.

Yes, but what I saw more were against then for. He cant play on the wing was everyones favourite reason. seeing as thats been blown out the water in the most spectacular fashion imaginable (within 10 mins) excuse me for not being a little smug or just releasing my frutration with Pards for months now.

Dont like to be a I told you so type of person, honest, but this HBA issue has been glaringly obvious.

I still cant understand Pards thinking so far as regards to him and Ober and the wing position. To not even try it until now is just baffling.

Anyway, i dont wanna go on about it. Im looking forward to our most talented players wonder goal this evening.

No doubt Pards will act all smug now.....

He should be a bit sheepish when it comes to HBA now. Not that he will.

If that happens I'd be surprised. I suspect Pardew decided to move him there because he knows his original plan wasn't working. Have some faith in Alan.
