Listening now and it looks like he wants to pressure the council by suggesting our future is not at the Circle if we go up and they don't have freehold of the stadium. No joint venture between council, after discussions broke down last season with council. Plans to take the tigers elsewhere.

I think if the council offer the freehold then we would stay otherwise its Melton or similar. God knows where else we could go. I would like to stay in the city boundary and ideally at the KC, its central location is fantastic but it would pave the way for a FC/KR ground share.

No wind up, he basically said Hull City Council were a bunch of ****ers and he wanted a new bigger freehold stadium.

Hard to disagree with Assem Allam. The KC has a poor atmosphere and is not fan friendly actually. The stewards leave alot to be disired as well. Maybe a pressure tactic but i would not blame AA if he did move Hull City out at some point in the future.

    TWT.

AS for what Terry Gereghy said on the Burnsy show this am, Well that beggars belief. No wonder AA has run out of patience dealing with those council morons.

Definitely a pressure tactic, cant blame him, just hope the council see sense (hard to imagine them doing that though)

We can't fill a 25k stadium which is on the doorstep for most fans as it is.
I reckon the crowds would drop significantly if we moved to Melton, EPL or not. People only have limited money to spend.

Hull City owner Assem Allam has told us he sees no future for the club at the KC if they're promoted back to Premier League. #hcafc

Looks like Steve Bruce was brought in to achieve more than just promotion on the agenda. Force the councils hand? They'd be left with a huge white elephant if City moved out of the KC.

This kind of thing always unsettles me.

Just when you think there is stability, something like this comes up.

It's like somebody saying to you that you have to place all you have on a roulette table; you may win the jackpot or you may loose everything.

Also, I'm not sure the timing of this is very clever. Everybody seems to be doing everything on a Hush-hush basis at the moment, on and off the pitch and as such we are succeeding. This Publicity Bombshell could well detract from all that has been achieved so far by putting us well and truly in the limelight. Not great timing!

I guess so. The work shy dodgers and the skint from the east of the city and the council estates wont afford the journey to Melton (who needs them anyway, they hardly contribute now) and there are many more affluent people that think visiting the city and the KC is beneath their social standing and lets face it the surrounding area is a sh1te hole! A Melton stadium will be much better for corporate visitors and box sales, plus all the company directors etc that live in Kirkella etc can be home in 15mins after hospitality etc. Follow the money Papa Allam!!!

This is a joke by the way..... :emoticon-0105-wink:

Out of city stadiums are crap though; Coventry, Bolton, Doncaster.

Much prefer it at the heart of the community. People prefer going into the pubs pre-match and walking to the game. At Melton it'd just be awkward, with enough free shuttle transport to the stadium having to be put on, otherwise I think attendances would fall.
