Read in several of this mornings sports pages that QPR have made a 3mil bid for
AJ.As everyone who has read articles on this forum, must by now know my views,
    on him.
    3 mil, a great sale,why ?

    1 A 30 yr old none scoring C/F

2 reputed to be our highest paid player 40k pw ?, if he is on a seasonal contract that is about 1.5mill per year
    .
2 His contract is up in August 2012,then he could walk, and can anyone see us getting this season from him the value of 3/4 million pounds

Who knows he may perform for someone else, lets hope so.
I fell that 2mil would be a great sale, because it would free up a large chunk of money,
to go towards a fresh, hopefully, scoring face, and lets be honest 40k per week come
on,I do not begrudge what someone gets but, let them earn it

Oh Val, you and your AJ hatred :) He hasn't been value for money, but I'd only be happy to see him go if we got someone better in.

Yes agreed, as long as we get a younger replacement in. A faster, better finisher, someone like Danny Sturridge would be ideal.

Agree with fulhamireland, sturridge is exactly what we need. However considering the 'english premium' which has been evident in this weeks transfers I think we would be looking at in excess of £20m for sturridge. I want to see the back of AJ but not without replacing him. We don't have any other players in his mould at the moment, so after our obvious full back issues, this should be a priority.

Sturridge would be terrific but Chelsea have put a hands off tag of £20m on him.

It is obvious Chelsea want to keep him,but I dont think it would be a bad think to try and
get him on a season long loan, and in a years time there may be many more options on the horizon.

Sturridge won't be going anywhere on loan. Drogba is on his way out, Torres ain't exactly the £50 million signing he promised to be, and Kalou is just awful. That leaves Anelka, who frankly was poor last season.

Apparently Drogba maybe going to Spurs in a swap with Modric. I agree that Chelsea will want to hold on the Sturridge though

I'd take Kalou 9but he wont come)...I rate him. He's played in a top 2 side, he's not that bad.
