Just looked on the sky sports website under the paper talk section and according to the Daily Mirror Norwich will try to test Leeds resolve by putting in a £1.5m bid for Robert Snodgrass.

No surprise that we would make a bid for him but I doubt even Ken Bates would let him go that cheaply <laugh>

I really hope we get him this summer and if not I hope he goes elsewhere so this never ending rumour can finally go away!

Although, even with 12months on his contract I can't see him moving for 1.5m lol.

Not that I don't want him but I'm feeling a but uneasy with all the ex Leeds players. If we get Snodgrass I think that should be it and we should tell our Leeds scout he can't renew his season ticket there.

I still think it's Ken's dastardly plot to get Leeds into the premiership, 1 player at a time!

i think the initial bid was just to test the water ( if indeed this bid was in fact made ) and let both leeds and snoddy know of our interest. think a deal of £3-4M more realistic eventually.

This story does seem a bit easy. Snoddgras played for lambert before. We made a bid last summer. He's refusing to sign a new contract at Leeds. That all combines into an easy to write, no evidence but probably true story.

His rating seemed to improve during a difficult season for Leeds on the playing side. I guess he is going to be a top target for us. I wouldn't expect the bigger clubs to be bidding for him so we must be favourites. It looks like Swansea are spending big on Sigurdsson, and WHU being connected with all and sundry and Reading already made a move so I think there has to be sense in the report and the bid is obviously an ante only.

£1.5 million, doubt they'll accept that. We've already mugged Johnson and Howson for free/cheap off them, if they let Snodgrass go for that then they really will be our feeder club!

They already are, didn't you get the memo...?

"Feeds United", supplying lower league gems to Norwich since July 2011. We are now an assured source of income for Bates.

    Summer Transfer Window: Johnson
    January Transfer Window: Howson
Summer Transfer Window: ??? (Snodgrass likely)

Keep the production line rolling please <ok>

Can safely say that Leeds would never sell Snodgrass for £1.5M. Even with a year to run on his current deal I cant see him leaving for no more than £4M or unless another player was thrown into the deal like Chris Martin, Crofts, K Smith etc.

Would be a huge asset to the club if Lambert could get his signature. But Leeds for certain would asd Norwich as one of their more hated clubs for poaching their best players.

    <laugh> Would we buggery.

It's the unscrupulous snakes like Chelsea, Spurs, Everton and Man City who nick our youth players who really rankle with Leeds fans, not Norwich who are simply doing what any right-minded small Premiership club would do by fairly purchasing the talent we've harvested and ultimately wasted due to Bates' incompetent chairmanship.

Can't blame you for that, and best of luck if you do sign Snodgrass. I'm sure he'll fit in well.

Same paper that only 24 hrs before was saying we were leading the race for the £8 mil rated Leeds player. Says it all really <doh>
