Interesting interview. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b01sp2z9/Look_North_(Yorkshire_and_Lincolnshire)_07_05_2013/
The thing for me is (and i can't make it) does this cater for the "real" fans (providing those semi-regular attendees can get tickets or do they go to glory hunters) as season ticket holders (of which i am not) get in, so this is a good decision..or.... is Assam missing out on a great marketing opportunity by not going round the City in effect saying "look a us we are successful, buy a scarf" etc... Personally i would have added to the guarentee entry list those who had tickets from sat....which would be me, but i'm working.... PS the council are proper ****nuggets..
We've struggled to break the 20k barrier this season with gates. Amazing how many whingers on Look North and Mudbank day they will 'miss out'......
what a great interview ... two fingers up to our blinkered council ... hope they enjoy the KC when its rack and ruin ............. I know they wont extend it at all because if they do Hull FC need a new home due to Super League regulations ... but he said it straight and played it well
Poor show by Allam in my opinion. Says it's all over but still banging on about it. Best thing he could have said is "That's over, it's history, there's no point in talking about it now. I want to talk about Hull City's fantastic achievement".
He didn't say everything you mentioned there, but he made it quite plain it's over, no more talks with the Council.
