Matt Dean has just posted two tweets after talking to Assem.

    1. @HumbersideSport has spoken to @hullcityteam owner Assem Allam tonight regarding Nigel Pearson's position: "He's a very good manager

    2. ...and we don't want to lose him. There's been no approach from #leicestercity ". @HumbersideSport @hullcityteam

Hopefully a sign that they're going to put up a fight for our manager.

It's good to know Leicester haven't approached us yet. Thankfully that puts to bed all the rumours about Pearson already being in talks with them (Mike Burgess *cough *cough).

I feel certain that he is staying for reasons I have stated from other threads, I think/hope MB is just mischief making!

the trouble is, I think if he gets a long term contract in order to finish the job, he probably needs assurances about what resources he will have to finish it. maybe there is a master plan in place from when we break even next Summer but is that enough

Why does it? He sounds the same as he always has to me. Im a big fan of Pearson and I take alot of his interviews with a pinch of salt, alot of what he says and doesn't say has to be taken in context of the persona he gives as a manager. He's obviously quite a complex character and enjoys being cryptic with the media, to deflect attention away from his players.

The Man in a LBD is a ****ing troll people, cmon, wake up and ignore the twat.

Nigels said theres been no approach he's aware of, the Allams have said they haven't been approached. Leicester dont want him back. We wouldn't let him go. Bookies have taken a fortune on all sorts of managers, and tell me, when did you last see a bookie walk or cycle to work?

He wasnt cryptic in his interview, he talked quite openly about the game, the performance and going forwards, he just wont entertain tabloid and internet gossip.

    Do the ****ing maths.

Ok Im done responding to this ******ed posts about him going, its stupid beyond belief.

At the end of the day its doesnt matter how much you want to keep him if Nigel doesnt want to stay

Pearson also said in his interview in a roundabout way, that most Hull fans were morons. Probably and especially ones that shout their mouths of from Rural ****ing Norfolk.

Yes your right but surely if there was nothing in it Nigel would of shot the rumours down.

Its alright saying the rumours are annoying him but if he comes out and says he isnt interested in coming back then all the rumours will stop

Yeah - but the way we buy players is shrouded in mystery, until it's a done deal. He doesn't talk about it. I think he leaves all that stuff to others and just gets on with coaching/managing a squad of footballers.

And.....no-one has made an approach yet.
