http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/188827-Paolo-Di-Canio Paolo Di Canio backed in to 4/1 to be next Leeds manager.
Maybe hes exactly what we need at the club. Would certainly be different to what we've had and wouldnt tolerate **** either on the field or with the owners. He's already proved that
I have seen quite a bit of Swindon (mate is a season ticket holder there) and Di Canio revolutionised that team. Under him they played a fast, passing game, used wingers down both flanks, allowed full backs to overlap, and importantly they fought to the bitter end in each game. Di Canio made them easily the best footballing side outside the top two divisions, and Swindon will suffer for him leaving. I'd have him at Leeds today if we could get him. He is passionate about football, he loves the game and his energy would lift our club. Yes, he is a bit eccentric, but so is Mourinho. Two managers for me to replace Colin - Adkins or Di Canio.
Agreed and another plus for him, if he agrees to join, it would seem likely proper backing is on the way. I doubt he'd bother otherwise
Good point on future funding Eire. Di Canio wouldn't be my first choice. But if we couldn't get Adkins, Di Canio would be a good 2nd choice.
you would of thought when a manager of warnocks credentials came in that meant he would be backed with some spending potential instead we sold our three best players, im beginning to wonder if good managers will want to touch us with a barge pole until we are owned by somebody who seriously want to take us back to the premiership ?
A very interesting article which may change a few minds ... http://www.independent.co.uk/news/people/profiles/paolo-di-canio-my-life-speaks-for-me-6273526.html
Di Canio made them easily the best footballing side outside the top two divisions, Think Bournemouth might have something to say about that
Sam Allardyce's contract with The Vermin runs out in May - Di Canio is nailed on to be his replacement Wouldn't be surprised to see Lee Clarke take over from Warnock is McLeish turns you down
I might be the only person that doesn't want him, not as in totally doesn't want him but I can think of a few others I would prefer ahead of him. For me it would be all out to get Adkins Di Canio has only 21 months experience of being a manager.
The Don didn't have any - just ideals and principles like Di Canio. (I'm not advocating that we get him, btw. Just saying ...).
Once in a clubs lifetime you get a manager and team that just can't do anything wrong, the chemistry is perfect. For us it was Revie, sadly I don't believe it will ever be repeated, Wilkinson nearly managed to create it again but something went wrong and he lost his way, I will however always have him to thank for giving me the thrill of seeing us lift the top tier trophy.
Mighty, I must be missing something, but how is us having Arab owners relevant to whether or not PdC would consider joining us?
Boggers Di Canio has been in all sorts of **** none more so than here in Italy because of his beliefs
