I’m being serious here, I get them, I almost had one on Saturday, When I was out, But apart from that, I barely get them.
I get them now and again as I have quite high levels of stress and anxiety. I'm very fortunate as I know the triggers for it so am able to avoid them or make sure I get out of the situation quickly. You need to speak to your GP. Hope it works out for you - it's not nice.
In all seriousness, Matthew. I use lavender essential oils to help me when I can feel everything getting on top of me. Just drop some on the back of your hand, close your eyes to stop everything racing and take very slow deep breaths while inhaling the lavender. It really does help
You know yourself better than any of us, Matthew. If that works for you, every time you leave the house take some headphones with you. If you then feel a panic attack coming on outside simply plug them into your phone and put some music on.
How do you feel when you’re having a panic attack? Panicky obviously but what thoughts do you experience?
I think there may be an underlying situation that could be causing you an anxiety. Something that you are aware of, but may not link directly to your panic attacks. Think about any recent change in circumstances that is playing on your mind or has you worried and perhaps looks to change that, or better still seek some form of counselling. This may also be linked to the depression you mentioned on the other thread. Take care son.
You get them, you almost had one, but you barely get them? Never has a 25 word post been so ****ed up. Ned time you have one, well almost have one, but barely get one, try lobbing yourself of the top of a high rise, that should sort it. Well almost, but it barely does.
You need a better lifestyle Matth. Clearly you’re in bad nick, try eating some Brussels Sprouts and doing some skipping.
You said yesterday on the Depression thread, that you had been feeling depressed. This you commented had been since the previous weekend. This morning i see this thread, saying you have panic attacks. You do NOT need to apologise for any of this. Having in the past watched your youtube videos, and combined with my above paragraph, i will repeat what i also said yesterday...please, go to the doctors. I'm not sure your home situation or what family support you have, so i will guide, when you go to the doctors, just state what you have told us, you have been feeling depressed for a week and that you are having panic attack(s), the doctor will ask you some simple and straight forward questions to help with diagnosis. Generally depression has to be diagnosed over a period of months rather than weeks. So if you have had any other bouts of depression during the last six months, then say that in convo too. It don't matter if you haven't - still go to the doc. On a side note, if you get into a panic attack situation in public, calmly take yourself out of the situation, go outside and get fresh air. So go get yourself booked in (with the doc) and let us know how you get on
You all know Matthew doesn't listen to a word of advice everytime he asks for it. Does it everytime...I'll be surprised if he reads this thread again...probably forgotten he wrote it
Especially when he's not doing anymore threads or talking about his private life, but will still do a matchday thread, despite there being a massive matchday thread. Oh. And grow up.
That's good...let's see So what have you taken on board from the advice? What is the next step Matthew?
matt, if you're feeling depressed and are having panic attacks sometimes but hardly ever then get yourself to a doctor. Posting on here is fine and you will get some good advice but if you don't follow through on it and then post the same stuff again, people will start to think it's attention seeking. You've started a number of similar threads and the advice has always been the same, go and talk to a doctor.
