Gianni Paladini, former QPR chairman who was sitting next to Fabio Capello during the Villa match at Loftus Road on Sunday, is in the unusual position of still working behind the scenes at the club with no job title after losing his board leadership role.

Paladini has been replaced as chairman by new owner Tony Fernandes but is helping out while the new regime find their feet in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, you have to admire QPR manager Neil Warnock for saying what he thinks about referees - Michael Oliver being the latest - even though his boss Fernandes sponsors the Premier League officials through Air Asia.

OH, and it's good to keep Paladini at the moment - there is a flu bug going round amongst the programme sellers and I hear he is getting a chance to step in.
