That's three games unbeaten now, so I'm back to finish my game of Connect 4! After a stunning 1-1 victory against Arsenal, can we keep the points Monopoly going and carry the momentum onwards to Selhurst Park on Saturday? Being a lover of board games I'm hoping that this game will not leave us board, but will advance us directly to Go and collect 3 points! If you're driving to Selhurst Park then i understand there is plenty of Free Parking if you're prepared to roll the dice and take your Chance. Heading into winter, the atmosphere should be great as we play under the floodlights in the second half, as long as Palace have been paying the Electric Company. If you're not travelling, sit back at home with a glass of plonk from the finest Vine street and a slice of red Leicester square cheese. Alan couldn't be here to do the match thread this week, but here's a little ditty from him about cheese: Come on Saintsy Saints, let's see if we can Scrabble another 3 points together. COYR!
Ralph might have to take a Risk and will inevitably be accused of not having a Cluedo. Will we get 3 points and go up the ladder,or get nothing and slide down the snake?
Referee: Michael Salisbury. Assistants: Nick Hopton, Wade Smith. Fourth official: Tim Robinson. VAR: David Coote. Assistant VAR: Richard West.
Interesting game this. No idea what the result's going to be TBH. Or what Ralph's going to do. I would lean towards returning to a back 4 with AMN at right back but it's not a certainty. Hopefully Lavia will be on the bench as well.
Personally I'm getting a bit bored of this JWP-Zaha thing now. Maybe it was the last minute winner that Zaha scored last time we played, that made our fans look like proper tw@ts.
Such fine margins in this league. From the way Hasenhuttl and Viera have been covered by the press and the pressure fans are putting on them, you'd think they would be at opposite ends of the table. I didn't realise there is just 1 point between us going into this game. Yet Viera is spoken about as doing a great job and Ralph is apparently on the brink of being sacked.
Win our next three before the break, and he becomes unsackable imo. Then cue a collapse in form throughout January
Almost unbelievably, Chris Sutton has us down to lose to Palace. His logic: Saints are a 'patchy' team, and Palace performed badly against Everton, so they are bound to improve things. Oh, and because Zaha scored for Palace last year against Saints, he's bound to score again. If Sutton ever predicts us to win, I'll contact the narcotics squad, as Sutton must have taken some dodgy substances
Saints are patchy but Crystal Palace’s last 6 games are 2 wins, 2 draws and 2 defeats (and last 9 is 3 of each). Huh?
Add to that:- It'll be a game of two halves It will kick off with eleven players a side but may not finish so. The side with the most goals wins.
